[ The success of much of the Andres operation hinges on cutting off communication between Sarandis and his men on the Isle. The first step to doing so is a quiet takeover of the city's power station, located a couple miles away from any other buildings, surrounded by woods on three sides. The power station group is one of those who are being transported via a scroll of greater teleport cast by Sir Hasmed, and he lands them precisely on target - in a clearing not far away from the station, in the early hours of night on Andres Isle.

They find themselves transported from the black and white tiled floors of the castle... outside, surrounded by trees. Zatanna immediately checks her Drakenet phone, running the program sent out by Zero for mission leaders to check their latitude and longitude on, to double check that the spell was successful. After a moment, it beeps once softly, and she offers a little sigh of relief, looking at the others. ]

[ zee doesn't look like she notices the cameras, and starts to gesture for them all to head towards the doors. the doc, however, also catches sight of them, and recognizes that if they cross, they'll be right in the path of one... ]

[As Zee starts to gesture towards the doors, Willow waves her arms wildly like NO WAIT STOP. But she has enough sense not to actually say that. Charades are hard, though. So she just points in the direction of the camera.]

[ zee readily interprets willow's flailing, following her line of sight to pick up on the cameras. she stops everyone again, this time gesturing to allison and then drawing a golden arrow in the air in the direction of the two cameras. she's too far out of range to shut them down with a spell... but allison can shoot them out from here. ]

[ Just as Willow flails, the Doctor notices too, and he steps up, putting a hand to Zee's shoulder as if to stop her. Getting caught out this early in the game probably wouldn't do anybody any good. ]

[Allison has been keeping her eye on the group and when she spots the flailing arms, she follows the direction Willow is pointing and picks up on the same thing everyone else does.

Zee producing arrows out of nothing does make her raise an eyebrow, but she still steps forward and withdraws her bow. (Quick Draw)

She takes one of the arrows that Zee created out of nothing and takes it in hand. It allows her to get a feel for the weight of it before she nocks it into place. Allison keeps her posture steady as she raises the bow and arrow upwards Her arm draws the line taut, her hand resting against the apple of her cheek as she focuses on her target. She breathes inward and on the exhale lets loose the first arrow. (Attack 16 | Damage 6)

Not wanting to waste time between shots, and confident that it made it to its intended target, she takes the second arrow in hand and repeats the process - her focus on the second target as she looses the second arrow. (Attack NAT 20 BABY) | Damage 12)

Allison watches, bow still raised, just in case - but it's not an issue as both security cameras get taken out. She'll keep her bow at the ready, though, lowering it and nodding to the others.]

[ zee smiles to herself at the ease with which allison completes the task, giving the girl a nod, and then they all make for the doors B) kate would probably get their first, but find them locked. ]

[Go team! Willow is very pleased. See her pleased face?? This was a tag.]

[Kate does get there first! And discovers the door is locked by ... tugging uselessly at the doors.

And then taking a break and tugging some more. And then dropping down to try and pick the lock but as she does the ... pin breaks in the door, jamming the lock (disable device crit fail).

Whoops. You can probably see the "Shit" she's mouthing but not actually saying.]

[ Don't worry Kate, John Smith can do a thing.

He steps up, cautious, still glancing around just in case (spot 20 total). He slips his screwdriver from his pocket, and aims it at the door, the green light flickering a moment, absent of the usual buzzing sound, and unless the door is deadlocked is should click open nicely. ]

[ the door clicks open with a satisfying noise beneath the sonic screwdriver, and they'd find themselves entering into the lobby area of the plant. after hours, the lights are dim, the computer set to a screensaver behind the desk, the station abandoned. a spot check of 15+ catches the floor plan map framed on the wall near the set of double doors that lead out to the plant floor. a knowledge (engineering) check of 18+ is required to decipher which of the labeled generators is the one they're after. another security camera buzzes back and forth sweeping the lobby, but they're close enough now for zatanna to dispel the silence spell that surrounds them, raising a hand to say: ] Depool! [ she glances back at the others as they all file inside, shutting the door behind them. ] That should put the internal security feeds on a loop for long enough for us to finish here.

[Kate shoots him a grateful look as she follows Zatanna inside, eyes scanning the room for anything of use until she spots the map (spot 21). Making her way closer, she studies it for a moment, waiting until the cameras are looped before actually speaking (knowledge - engineering 19).]

There's the target.

[She points to the generator in question, tapping her finger against the map lightly, before starting to look around to try and determine which route would be faster.]

[Allison stays close, she's trusting the others in the group and keeping an eye out for any stragglers that might just wander this way out of boredom in the middle of the night.]

[Willow takes a look at the map, but she's not really having a great time sorting out best route (navigate? maybe? 11)]

Should we split up?

[They do it all the time in Sunnydale and it never goes wrong...]

Yes because splitting up always ends well.

[ He doesn't mean to be sarcastic. It's just second nature and he sort of forgets sometimes. ]

It might not be a bad idea actually. We know there's still a guard or too here - we saw the cars outside. Communications are still up, which means if we're not careful, and they get time to alert Sarandis - this whole thing could be over before it begins.

I'm going to the generator, but some of you? Should try to find those guards and shut them down before they come across messing with the power supply.

[No, Kate's with the Doctor on the fact that splitting up seems like a bad idea, but she also knows that if they're going to get this done, they need to take care of the guards. She also knows that there are not a lot of obvious fighters on this team, but Zatanna's got a lot of magic at her disposal. She takes a breath, before glancing around to get the lay of the land.]

Allison and I can take the guards. You guys get to the generator and shut it down - we'll meet you when it's done.

[And please stay together. Do not send Willow off on her own. Kate is protective of the baby squires, okay?]

Just what I was going to say. Be careful. [ it's said warmly, obvious confidence in them. ] Let's go.

[Oh, look! Her idea wasn't terrible. Even if John didn't like it much, she's going to cling to the fact that Zatanna is on board. Yay! With a nod, Willow shifts over towards her group- which includes a bad ass magic user and didn't John use something to unlock the door? She's pretty confident that they can handle this.]

[Kate nods in agreement.]

[And with that, she'll glance back to Allison with a nod.]

[ zee leads the other two off in the direction of the generator, the steady hum around them making it difficult to hear if anyone else is around. it's easy to follow the directions on the map kate located, however, and when they reach the machine, zatanna pulls out a scroll. ] If we can get it shut down, this should be able to prevent it from powering back up, even via generator. Something Zero cooked up. [ she glances at willow and eleven. ] How's your electrical know-how?

[ he really isn't trying to hide that somewhat smug grin ]

I'm a bit of a dab hand. You might say.

I like computers? [Willow doesn't sound quite as confident. She's been playing catch up with the stuff in this world.] What is it you need us to do?

There should be a diagram on the side. We need you to shut down the machine without overloading the circuits. [ do i look like i know anything about anything. nope. we're gonna resolve this shit with rolls, aren't we. YES WE ARE.

basically it is going to be an intelligence check of 15+ to interpret the diagram. and then a disable device check of 30+ to shut down the thing. successful interpretation of the diagram gives a +5 to the check - failure imposes a -2 penalty. the two of them may use aid another to get the extra +2 to the disable device check, so both of them can roll it and we'll have the higher one be the actual attempt! ]

[Haha, no Willow can't make that disable device except on a nat 20 and she didn't get that. But she got an 18 to interpret the diagram, so she can hopefully assist with that part? Her disable device total is 15. But she's being a lovely assistant to the Doctor who hopefully does better than she does...]

[ The Doctor gets a 17 to read the diagram and then a neat 41 total to disable the device, and that's without the screwdriver lending a hand. Really, he did say he was a dab hand at these things. ]
