[ The two groups tasked to deal with the denizens of the Shadow Village arrive on the bank of the river that bisects the capitol city of Andres in half.  The river slopes down from the woods and city around it, meaning that they're afforded a bit of concealment here, unless anyone stood at the top and looked down.  At this hour of the night, however, there's no one around.   Dovan grumbles a bit about 'blasted magic' as they shake off the disorienting sense of vertigo, while Koraith waits for Belle to confirm they've arrived in the right place.  She pats Gold on the arm as she pulls out her phone, and moments later, she nods to the others in confirmation.

The water laps gently nearby against the rocks, and in the distance, a bridge is visible that links the segregated Shadow village with its thatched roof houses, to the city proper, which seems lined with wealthy manor homes.  ]

You don't think it's a good idea to arm him, you mean?

[undealt]

Well, we can't refuse him a weapon on a hunch, Ms. Grimrot. We've only one enemy to fight here. We can't go around making new ones.

[grimrot]

No, we can use his help, it's just... [She frowns.] We should just keep a close eye on him when the fighting's over.

That doesn't seem like too much to ask.

[Gold nods and looks around to see... if there's another good house to approach or anything going on, etc. (spot 22)]

[grimrot]

[Grimrot's wariness has lead to her keeping a more careful eye on their surroundings, apparently. (Spot 23). If nothing jumps out at her and Belle or Gold don't pick soon, she'll head to a house across the street at random.]

We need to start gathering the children and other non-combatants. Whatever else Grulk may be, I don't doubt he'll be adept at getting others to fight with him.

[ there's a little light on at the local tavern nearby??? otherwise it's just houses, all pretty quiet. ] You're right. We need to get the civilians to safety before the fighting breaks out.

[He points to the nearest house and heads towards it. Doing his "landlord knock" again.]

[grimrot]

[Grimrot follows, looking, well, grim.]

[ give her a second, ok.

the door is finally yanked open by a slightly irritated looking woman, tall and shapely, with abnormally clear blue eyes that fill with shocked recognition as she looks right past belle and gold, and stares at the half-orc beyond them. ]

... Grimrot?

Indra? [WERWATEY???] What are you doing here?

[Gold stares up at Grimrot.] You two know each other?

[WERWATEY, INDEED...]

[bloodrager]

I live here. [ she doesn't sound very happy about it though, glancing past them both, looking left and right for anyone who might be watching, before waving them in. ] Come inside. Did you just-- When did you get here?

[grimrot]

Here as within this world or here as in Andres Isle? I've been in this world for a while, now. I was working on my thesis! It's about the alchemical properties of-- well, it's not important for the moment. [She steps past Gold and Belle to go inside, clasping Indra companionably on the shoulder.]

It's good to see a familiar face. I've missed you. [She hesitates, looking hopeful.] None of the others are here, are they?

[undealt]

[Gold looks over at Belle, conveying "should we... leave them to this???" with just a look. It seems kinda rude to intrude on their private time.

[bloodrager]

I meant here on Andres. [ but also that probably. belle looks uncertain, but indra waves them in too. ] But no, I haven't seen any other Pathfinders since I found myself in this land. But you should know, this place is far from kind to non-humans - if you haven't discovered that for yourself already.

[grimrot]

Well, yes, that's actually why we're here. [She waves over at Belle and Gold.] We're with the Knights of the Silver Dragon. We're planning on overthrowing Sarandis. Would you like to help?

[undealt]

[Gold pauses, suddenly distracted from #crossspecieslesbians, as he turns his head in the direction of the bridge.]

Did anyone else hear gunfire? [(listen 19)]

[ belle doesn't hear it, but she trusts gold, looking off worriedly into the distance ] Do you think... do you think something's gone wrong?

[undealt]

I think the battle may have reached us.

[He turns towards Indra and Grimrot, grabbing Belle's hand.] We need to make certain any non-combatants make it out of the village safely lest the fighting spill over. Belle and I will hold the line until we receive word from the team securing weapons.

[Look at him being a good boyfriend and not making Belle stay behind... Mostly because he knows she won't. And he'd rather keep her where he can see her.]

Indra, was it? [He nods at the woman.] If you know anyone with magic, spread the word and send them to join us. It's time Sarandis's men learned precisely what they're dealing with.

[grimrot]

[Grimrot gives Indra an apologetic smile.] Not exactly the best circumstances for a reunion, but rather familiar, isn't it?

[bloodrager]

A little too much. If I had a weapon, I'd be right out there with you. But I know a few people. I'll send them out.

[grimrot]

We brought weapons! I... had a feeling Sarandis wouldn't be arming the people he oppresses.

[undealt]

[Gold tugs Belle's hand.] We'll leave the two of you to it, then.

[AND OFF THEY GO. To join the fight.]

[ indra watches them go like ... but then turns back to her friend, folding her arms ] You mean you have them here?
