[ Christos is a wee bit protective over one of the stealth jets, possibly because he might actually own it himself.  We just don't know.  Either way, his team gets to ride in one of them, and fuck if he's gonna bring any other teams along on the way.  They fly silently over the sleeping city, and he lands with a 22 pilot check right on the roof of the guardhouse itself.  :) ]

[ francesca has gone on dangerous infiltration-type mission like this before, so she's pretty familiar with the routine. also, taking a ride on christos's the knights' stealth jet always gives her a little added thrill.

she fiddles with the zipper on her black jacket as she stands up from her seat in the cockpit. she's in all black, of course, the fabric flexible but tight against her skin. her white hair's pulled back in a high ponytail, and she's got the whole smokey eye make-up look to extenuate this whole dark assassin look, with knee-high leather boots to finish it off. All in all, she pulls it off flawlessly, setting a new standard for the look (nat 20 disguise). perhaps she's just hoping to impress christos in more than one way.

she's first to the exit door, cautiously looking out the window to make sure they're alone on the roof (spot 29). once she's cased the surroundings, she can take action from there. ]

[Bo didn't slouch on the infiltration outfit either, and it seems she's not the only one with a fetish for thigh high leather boots, and it'll help her meld into the darkness (disguise 31).

She follows closely behind Francesca, ready to follow her lead once she's cased the area.]

[Han did not wear thigh high leather boots. Sorry to break the team uniform code, ladies. He does look pretty damn good (disguise 21), which is impressive since he doesn't have that great a disguise check. He just has Harrison Ford's face, and usually that's enough. Today, though, he's apparently looking pretty great, wearing a black jacket instead of the vest to provide more cover. Maybe his black pants are tighter than usual who even knows.

He's got his blaster drawn, held low against his leg, as he follows Bo out.]

could it be THE SAME THING HE WEARS EVERY NIGHT, PINKY?? why yes it is. all black accentuated with his black cloak. he gestures for everyone to mind the way their high heels and boots are rapping on the ceiling of the building, as he lands almost silently (move silently 28), one hand slipping to the hilt of his rapier. he takes a moment to look around, and then gestures at the roof access door, before heading that way without waiting for acknowledgement. he tries the door carefully, and finds it locked as expected. he slips a set of tools off from his belt and sets to work, easily tripping the lock (disable device 22) ]

[ francesca's quick draw feat honed reflexes mean she can keep her rapier sheathed and her gun holstered until the time arises that she actually needs them. this way she's much less restricted when attempting complicated maneuvers in constricting spaces, or when seeking out concealment or cover.

she follows christos immediately, all but silent as she moves across the roof, obediently heeding his warning (move silently 31). it's possible he doesn't even hear her approach, but she keeps a respectable distance, slinking back into the shadow created by the access door (hide 26) while she waits for him to work his magic. ]

[Han's not nearly so quiet as the two of them (move silently 12), but he makes up for it by keeping his eyes wide open as he looks around (spot 23). He watches Christos impatiently, privately thinking it'd be a whole lot easier if he just shot the lock, but for once, he doesn't say it.]

[ as soon as the door is unlocked, but before he opens it, christos looks back at them, and says in a low tone: ] We're going to need some way to prevent them from exiting via the lower doors.

Something like me shooting 'em as they leave? [Just an idea...]

[Things have been quiet outside, though that's disrupted by her phone vibrating in her pocket.

She checks it quickly before putting it away and signaling to Han, motioning for him to keep an eye on the door. He can shoot down while she encounters them hand-to-hand.

She slides the large dagger from its sheath, ready for them.]

[ they can each have a readied action available when the guards burst out. there are six of them: a blonde woman and man, an exceptionally tall woman, a red haired man, a short, fat guy, and a woman with curly black hair and a stern countenance. they can each take a free readied action on them before we roll for init! ]

[Bo will go for the first guy to walk through the door, so blonde man it is.

She's standing beside the door frame as he comes through, and she sweeps her blade at his legs, hoping that it will send him sprawling and maybe take some of his friends down with him (atk 19, dmg 11 if that hits)]

[Han's gonna go for the blond woman in front. A bright red blast of blaster fire lights up the night and there's a pew sound as he sends a blast at the woman (atk 20, dmg 18 with penetration!).

AND ANOTHER ATTACK this time at the ginger (atk 22, dmg 13 with less impressive penetration). PEW PEW.]

[Seeing as her first attack wasn't enough to take down blonde, she pulls back before trying again (atk nat 20, dmg 20)]

[ bo murders the blonde guy before he knows wtf is happening, and han nearly takes out the ginger with that shot. fatty cries out: "What the--" before stepping back to shoot at bo (atk 21, dmg 7), while ginger fires back up at han (atk 8), hitting the roof instead. the tall woman tries to disarm bo, provoking an attack of opportunity~ ]

[She sees it coming but she's too close, and her attempt to knock her back hits nothing but air.]

[ that's ok, she still gets out of the way of this shitty disarm attempt easily ;; ]

[ francesca follows christos's lead, easily keeping up with his brisk pace. she's still keeping an eye out for trouble - because you never know in enemy territory - but her mind is set on the task before them, however obscure their mission may be at this point. she feels as if she should be asking questions, but it's not as if he knows much more than she does. ]

I'd like to know precisely what led to this ... complication. [ his tone makes one thing clear - he's pretty sure someone fucked it up ]

Who or what is responsible won't change much of anything now. [ because she has to be the optimistic one in this relationship ] I suppose it would have been absurd to expect such a widespread invasion to be accomplished without some complications.

Considering the number of inexperienced squires, and barely qualified Knights along? You're quite right. I don't know what else I expected.

[ she smirks in his direction, clearly teasing, knowing full well she's not going to sway his cynicism, especially during such a tense situation ] More importantly, what do you expect us to encounter when we reach the coordinates Wynn sent you?

[ with a super high will save, she merely turns to look out in front of them again, silently processing the information ] Can't say I remember ever fighting a drider. [ there's the strong implication there that sometime, in a past life, she's willing to bet she encountered one or two... and she certainly knows enough to be rightfully unnerved. ]
