[ Christos is a wee bit protective over one of the stealth jets, possibly because he might actually own it himself. We just don't know. Either way, his team gets to ride in one of them, and fuck if he's gonna bring any other teams along on the way. They fly silently over the sleeping city, and he lands with a 22 pilot check right on the roof of the guardhouse itself. :) ]

[ she mutters a thanks to bo, dropping her bag once they reach the roof and digging around for her med kit. looking between han and aedan, she decides the older man is worse off and sets to work digging out bullets and stuff. :) no magic healing for y'all, sorry. (treat injury 30 = +2 hp, she's not a cleric ok.) she works silently, forehead wrinkled with concentration. ]

[It's cool he's used to clerics not being around. He grunts and nods his thanks as she patches him up a little bit.]

[ spot check of 18+ will be enough to notice the guards approaching not much later, from their rooftop vantage point. there's 3 of them, traveling on foot. ]

[Bo's spot of 22 is enough to catch that, and she murmurs to the others quietly.]

Incoming.

[ abigail sees nothing, busy already moving to aedan, but when bo speaks her head snaps up like... shit. how is she suppose to patch up aedan's multitude of wounds when there are incoming. incoming what...? doesn't matter. ]

Two seconds, [ she promises aedan before switching first aid for violence and swinging her rifle around before looking to bo with steely eyes like OKAY WHERE ARE THEY??? tiny little fierce hunter. ]

[No probs. Aedan's already drawing his weapons to jump back into battoru desu. Y'all can snipe from the roof, he's heading back inside to meet those fuckers on the ground level. Yeah it probably looks like he just dipped out whoops. But it seemed smarter than climbing down and getting shot at in the process...]

Going straight for the violence option, then? Alright, I'm down.

[She walks into the building after Aedan to head downstairs. Time to murder some more bitches.]

[ while they are booking it down the stairs, abigail takes careful aim with her rifle against the edge of the roof. she's not trying to kill the guards, only to disable and her aim is very, very good. thanks............ dad. (atk 4 action point says nat 20, dmg 22) what a good little hunter. ]

[Meanwhile Han's got his pistol out again and he's getting low on the roof, aiming carefully for one of the ones Abigail didn't hit. He's... aiming to kill. Sorry Abigail. (atk 26, dmg 15).]

[Bo moves to try and meet the guard closest to her, intent on pressing a hand to any bit of exposed skin to use her powers of suggestion, but she...crit failed. Awesome.]

[Don't worry because while Bo cops a feel from guard #1, Aedan beelines it to the second guard that is still standing and proceeds to swing his blades at the air (attack 14 damage 11, and attack 9, damage 9 but I don't actually expect either of those to hit...). We got this, guys.]

[Hook aims at guard 1 even though man both of the melee fighters are sucking it up right now and shoots his pistol again (atk 24, dmg 15).]

[ han manages to down one of the two, leaving only the guard that bo is trying to accost over here, who manages to grab her as she nears, and pull her in front of himself as a shield, lifting his gun to her head. crit fails are bad, bo. ] Nobody move or she gets it!

[ abigail blanches, eyes widening as she ducks behind the edge of the roof, back pressed against the ledge as she fruitlessly fights off a panic attack. lmao sorry y'all, she's too busy having serial killer flashbacks to be of any use to you now. ]

[Bitch, please. Do you know who you're dealing with?

If you thought she was going to quake in her boots and just act that scared damsel, you were wrong, so she's going to twist the fuck away from him and get her temple away from that gun tyvm (escape artist 20 action point says 27.)]

[ ahahaa yeah no he isn't expecting that shit whatsoever, and she easily breaks free, much to his fucking surprise. ]

[And Aedan takes the opportunity that Bo wrenching herself free from the guard provides to make an attempt at running said guard through (attack 21, damage 21 [6 of that is piercing]). Twice (attack 24, damage 10).]

[ it takes the last shred of control abigail has to unclench her white knuckled fingers from the rifle and put it down before she curls in on herself, panic attack taking over as her breath speeds up like she's hyperventilating. it's too much for her to handle, she feels like her chest is caving in. her fingers are tingling, all she can hear is the roar of blood pounding in her ears, vision clouded with tears and spots. she wants to run away. every part of her wants to run away, but she's stuck, trapped in reliving her father's last act and remembering the feel of blood choking her, feels like it's choking her now. ]

[Meanwhile, those of us on the ground floor are none the wiser re: Abigail's fragile mental state. D:

After pulling his fucking shiv out of the guard, who slumps to the ground, Aedan looks over at Bo with concern.]

Are you all right?

Hey, hey, hey.

[Han slips his pistol into its holster and reaches out, grabbing Abigail's shoulder. This is not a good time to panic. Just because these soldiers are down doesn't mean they're out of the woods yet, and Han needs to be focusing on things other than keeping her from walking off a roof or whatever. He texts Bo GET BACK HERE because he's pretty sure she'll be better at dealing with this than he is. She has that magic and everything, and right now his main idea is to put his blaster on stun and knock her out.

....I'm not sure what you're supposed to roll for dealing with a panic attack, but Han got a crit fail, so he's gonna slap her in the face to try and jolt her out of it (atk 16, subdual dmg 6). BO COME ON WE NEED YOU.]

[ it's probably the worst course of action imaginable. especially with abigail hobbs. abigail who, contrarily, associates murder with self-defense and life because it's guaranteed to work.

han grabs her shoulder and she's already too delicate to be thinking clearly but then he slaps her and she just reacts, luckily without any of the weapons she has stashed in her bag and on her person. so lucky she can't reach her knife from her curled up position. but she does shove at him, trying to push him away (str 17), before her hand lifts to cover the stinging of her cheek. ] Don't touch me!

[She smirks over at Aedan.]

Not even a scratch. Thanks for the assist.

[Bo gets the text and races her ass back upstairs, coming through the door just as there Abigail shouts at Han.

It's probably good she didn't see that.]

[She runs over and crouches down in front of her.]

[Han raises his hands and backs off, more than happy to let Bo handle it. This is why he texted her, after all. Though honestly, her yelling at him and shoving him had been a lot less scary than her freezing up like that. Still, he's more than happy to give them space.]

Fight ended and she just panicked.

[ she still looks panicky so han hit the nail right on the head, but she seems to calm down a little just at bo's words. or maybe it's that through the tears in her eyes and with her head pounding and fuzzy, for a second bo didn't look like bo but another brunette who is very skilled at calming abigail down.

which might explain why she lurches forward to throw her arms around bo's neck in relief that, surprise, she's not dead. ]
