[ Two groups stow away on a barge bringing imports onto Andres, aided with invisibility and silence spells.  The members of both groups sneak away from the docks, to congregate between warehouse buildings.  Dean checks his weapon in the dim light, glancing down towards the mouth of the narrow alley, and then glancing back at the other group. ]

Castle can't be more than a half mile.   Odds are that's where Elena's headed too - that or the prison in the woods.  Depends on what they're here for.

[Felicity nods in agreement, pulling away from the gates, moving further down the wall to see if there's a good place to start climbing without catching the attention of the cameras.]

[ Jameson moves with her, surveying the wall and the surrounding cameras and vantage points (spot 25?), ready to begin climbing once they triangulate the right path. ]

[Felicity is scanning as well (spot 21), before reaching for her bag as she does, glancing back to Alainn.]

Will the spell cover a grappling hook?

[Because she has one but she doesn't want to give them away.]

[Alainn eyes the wall, guessing the height of the gate to be around 20ft tall. She shakes her head, a scowl turning the edges of her mouth down.]

Ach, no, the gate is too tall. My spell only covers ten feet in circumference. We'll have to try and scale it by hand.

Right. [ with a determined air, syd moves to the wall, looks it over, and finds a few hand holds here and there to hoist herself up effortlessly (climb 24). she makes it look easy tbh. ]

[Yeah, it's not easy. Felicity is barely managing to get the handholds and probably isn't making the DC, but she's trying (climb 10 action point says 12). She drops down again after a moment, frowning up at the wall for a moment and trying to form another plan of attack.]

[Alainn finds it a tad easier than Felicity in climbing the slick fence, but not near as easy as Syd, with a climb check of 18 in total. If possible, she will pause in the middle of the fence so the others can catch up so the spell will still encompass all of them (str chk...also 18 to hold on???]

[ syd's got this shit. a rope hangs down as she lowers it to the others to help out, which will lower the dc to 10! wooo ]

[You're the best, Syd. Because with that rope, Felicity is up there ASAP (climb 23). Where that roll was two tags ago, the narration doesn't know.]

[ Politely bringing up the rear of the group (not just so he can stare at their asses, cross his heart), Jameson scampers up that rope with ease (climb 24). ]

[ either side of the main drive leading up to the castle front is flanked by elaborate topiaries, and sydney nods towards those on the left, which will provide plenty of cover to make their approach. ]

[Felicity follows her gaze and nods, before dropping quietly to the ground (tumble 25). She then makes her way towards the topiaries, moving as quietly as possible (move silently 19) and ducking behind them out of view (hide 18).]

[Utilizing the fact that they are still under the cover of the invisibility spell Alainn doesn't try to hide as the descends the gate on the other side, concentrating on being quiet instead as she just barely holds onto the rope(climb:10, move silently:nat 20). Once her feet touch ground she goes for the topiaries, (still utilizing her bamf move silently check) eyeing the side of the castle they face, looking for cameras or guards (spot:30).]

[ syd follows felicity's lead (tumble 19), and alainn notices in the far off distance, two guards flanking the front doors of the castle, as well as movement of what are probably cameras above them. they're a long way off though, and it's the movement of something shifting a bit ahead of them, in the midst of the topiaries, that catches her attention.

she could swear that beautiful green elephant just moved. ]

[She notices the guards and cameras, already preparing a spell in her mind do take them both out when her eyes catch the subtle movement in the topiaries just ahead. Surely the elephants weren't moving?.

She focuses on them for a few moments, holding up one hand as she scrambles to prepare another spell on top of the others. A muttered curse is all she manages to get out as a warning to the others that something is off.] Oh, bloody hell.

[ .... Why. Why did you say that. Saying that is never good, Alainn, and she doesn't want to look because looking means she gets to see how bad this actually is.]

I knew we were getting too lucky.

[But regardless she'll turn to follow the other woman's line of sight to see what she can see (spot 17).]

What is it? Do you think it saw us? [ syd's spot check sucked, and she doesn't see the slightly rustling statue. :( but felicity thinks she might. ]

[Even thinking she might have seen something is enough cause for Felicity to have her weapon out at this point. She's already drawing her gun at the subtle sign of movement.]

I don't know.

[Better safe than sorry.]

[Alainn is so freaking torn right now. What the hell should she address first, the guards, the cameras on the doors, or the elephant-bush that is suddenly animated? She's not convinced that guns will stop the elephant-bush, and she is also sure that blacking out the cameras will draw more attention than not. So, that leaves her with few choices and little time to do any of them.]

The guards cannot see us yet, but the invisibility spell is nearly at it's end. I can take care of the cameras from here, but I cannot take care of the guards and the elephant, though I might be more effective against an animated bush since I'm not sure that guns will do much good against the elephant.

Video surveillance devices continue to send whatever image they were photographing the moment when the spell was cast.]

The cameras are taken care of. [What do the rest of you want to do, basically is her tone right now.]

Watch out! [ just in time, as the elephant topiary shakes its leafy head - and charges right at them.

[Alainn is probably right, her gun is going to be useless, so Felicity drops it pretty much the second the creature starts charging, doing her best to dodge out of the way. But that doesn't mean she doesn't have something she can use (wisdom 17). She reaches into her bag to grab the grappling hook she brought with her. She thought she'd be using it to climb things - apparently she's going to be using it to trip charging topiary elephants.

She drops low once it's out, aiming for the tree across the way and shooting it across at about shin level (attack 14). Once it takes, she grabs the rope and pulls tight with all the strength she has (strength 18).]

[ with an 18 reflex save, the elephant grinds to a halt just in the nick of time :( it does, however, stop its charge! so that's good...

what's not good is that it starts to quiver, and then the leaves and branches begin to shift, changing its shape - into a large anaconda, that slithers underneath the wire, making its way towards them again. at least that ate its whole turn??? ]

[Shit. Double shit. Damn animated guard bushes! She stands her ground, hands flying out in front of her as she casts dispel magic at the oncoming bush-snake thing, for a 31 dispel check, calling out] Dispalarum magicus!

[So much for staying quiet and out of sight. She can feel the invisibility spell break as she enters combat, chagrined at having to blow their cover so damn close to their target, hoping to high hell that the spell works.]

[ technically, a living topiary is an actual creature type, but since it crit failed its save, i'm going to say that means it was actually an enchanted topiary, and not just a monster that happened to look like one. you lucky bastards. the creature skids to a halt, freezing as a giant snake-sized statue, but the movement has drawn the attention of the guards now, although they're still very far away. ]

[ Jameson has seen plenty of strange things, but this takes the cake so far. He's inclined to stand around and watch as long as the ladies seem to have things under control, but then it's frozen up already and the guards are animating instead, however remotely. He indicates them with a gesture. ] This'd be our cue to leg it, I think.
