[ Two groups stow away on a barge bringing imports onto Andres, aided with invisibility and silence spells.  The members of both groups sneak away from the docks, to congregate between warehouse buildings.  Dean checks his weapon in the dim light, glancing down towards the mouth of the narrow alley, and then glancing back at the other group. ]

Castle can't be more than a half mile.   Odds are that's where Elena's headed too - that or the prison in the woods.  Depends on what they're here for.

[ she receives a message back from wynn only moments later. ]

I'll dispatch Knights to take care of it. We can't afford to send others into the castle, which means that discovering the identity of the prisoner must fall to your team.

[There's a small twitch of a smile as Rose texts back a simple On it before pocketing her phone.]

We keep looking for Elena and Kyp on the way to the North Tower. [A beat.] At least it gives us a place to start. [A opposed to the aimless wander they were excelling at right now.]

[will does not look pleased by this brand new 12 percent of a plan they've acquired, but he has resting bitch face is a hard read so who actually knows what's going on in there.]

Beats searchin' the place from top to bottom. [ he starts to move towards the door, but rose and will, who are facing him, would notice something outside the window.

someone staring in at them. an eerily familiar face - that of the unconscious guard from the car, except fully awake now, face set in hard lines as they watch their every move. it's clear that they know they've been seen - but they don't budge either. ]

[ OH SHIT SON.

just as bluntly as he pointed out the car in the woods, he announces to dean without taking his eyes away from the window:] One of them. Outside.

[Her reaction is immediate, at first responding to the apparent threat as she reaches for her gun, the stake not doing her a hell of a lot of good through a damn window (Wis 14... well just common sense son) but Rose falters as recognition flits across her features, torn between lowering her gun and keeping it raised.]

Will... [This was his thing, reading people. Right now Rose didn't even know if she could trust her instincts. (SM 19)]

[ will stares out the window some more, scrutinizing and trying to use his mad skillz to tell if it's kyp or elena. (sense motive 37) ]

[ the guard is ~unreadable~ as in their bluff check beat that, hoowee. dean turns around immediately, pulling up his own gun and raising it to mirror rose. he glances at will swiftly. ] Well?

I can't tell. [HE'S NOT FUCKING PSYCHIC OK JFC PPL.] Not from here. Maybe if I were closer, or —

[Rose actually looks a little affronted like... what do you mean you can't tell this is your thing GDI!

She looks back at... whoever the hell that is, hands not as steady as she'd like as she tries to work out what the hell to do when finally, reluctantly, she lowers her gun.]

Cover me. [In other words Dean if you so much as think about pointing that gun anywhere else she will stab you.

Showing her gun to 'Flurgen', she stows it, moving slowly towards the window yet careful to keep out of Dean's firing line as Rose looks for a latch, some way to open the Window.]

On it. [ there's definitely a latch, and it's easy to open the window and let in the cool night breeze - as well as come face to face with the stranger.

who looks over their shoulder, then back up at rose's face, recognition in his eyes as he examines her.

"Rose," he says, and his tone is strained, uncertain of the reception of what he's about to say, and not sounding overly pleased about saying it. "I need your help." ]

[Rose's hand twitches, wanting to reach for her gun, instinct alone telling her who she thinks this is (SM 16) but she's not sure, can't be sure and her hands curl into fists at her side to keep them from shaking.]

Hand over your weapons first. All of them. [The Dhampir vibrating with tension but still managing to hold onto her composure as she keeps her eyes locked on the Doppelganger, not sure if she's staring at the person who used to be her best friend or the one who ruined everything, including that friendship.]

No funny business. [ the guard stares at rose for an extended moment, hesitating visibly, but finally pulls a gun off his belt and hands it up, hilt first, even as dean raises his weapon a little more, ready to shoot. ]

[will is just over here staring at the doppelganger in that creepy unnerving way he has. y e p.]

[Rose takes the gun, slow, steady, handing it backwards for Will to take, wanting hers free in case she needs them and it doesn't matter that she's not looking at Kyp or Elena, something about seeing the face of the Guard from the trunk makes it worse somehow.]

Knights have been dispatched to retrieve the man whose face you've stolen. [Hand out as if waiting for anything else he might have.] The one you didn't murder anyway.

[ his expression looks almost pained for half a second at that.

"That was an accident. Elena never meant--" he stops himself, and grimaces. "It doesn't matter now. What matters is she's in trouble."

dean pipes up back there: ] Oh yeah, let's gloss right over the homicide. Good call.

[mydesigns]

[he takes the gun from rose, and ... wastes no time asking the important questions:] Was she the one who pulled a gun on Dimitris?

[He barely gets to finish his sentence when the gun at her hip is in his face, Rose's finger tensing on the trigger and it would be so easy for her, to end this, after months, months of hunting him, of imagining this moment, of making good on the very promise she'd made him in his cell.

His fault. So much of this was his fault. Elena, Dimitri hell, in some twisted way? Rose could even find a way to blame him for Luthir. He was part of it, the bigger picture, another cog in the wheel of evil that took everything that was actually good in this world and destroys it.

Her hands shake, finger tensing and for a second, it looks as if she might actually pull the trigger.]

Shut-up. [Will Save 13.] You - don't - say her name.

[ he doesn't flinch at the gun, but his eyes dart over to will, choosing to ignore rose's comment in favor of answering the question.

"I don't know. We got separated. Something went wrong." ]

Rose. [the flattest stare. sometimes u need to work with the enemy to get what u want ok. so don't shoot him. that is what will is trying to convey in that single word. success is questionable. he then directs his attention to kyp.] Someone pulled a gun on him, and that same someone is now arrested and going to be executed. It might be in your interest to help us find out exactly who that is.

[The only thing that can actually make Rose drag her eyes away from Kyp, is somebody suggesting to her that they actually work with this piece of shit, Rose's head snapping around, eyes wide, half anger half disbelief as she stares at Will.]

Are you insane? [Spitting the words out without even stopping to consider if maybe Will might be onto something here.] We can't trust him. [Looking back to Kyp.] For all we know, you abandoned her to save your own skin.

[Not really rolling wisdom checks because somebody isn't thinking with her brain just yet.]

[he automatically shuts that down with] If he did that, why would he ask you for help?

[ kyp rolls his eyes.

"Believe me, this is the last place I'd ever turn. I only came here because of her, and if you think I'm leaving her to the wolves, you've got another thing coming." ]

[Rose raising her gun enough so that Kyp gets an opportunity to stare down the barrel.

She spares a glance at Dean because right now, her two companions are like the Angel and Devil on her shoulders only, Rose isn't entirely sure which one is which but it's clear she's with Dean on this. Not only does she not like it, she downright hates it and isn't exactly good at covering her feelings (WS 12).

BUT. (Wis MF 19). As a Doppelgangar, Kyp might be able to get them into areas they might not be able to get into and as one of Dimitris' little bitches, he had to know the layout of the castle better than any of them.]

If you so much as sneeze in a way that I don't like? I will shoot you and I won't aim for the knees - [Referencing the guard.] I will shoot you in the stomach and leave you to bleed out a slow and painful death. Am I clear? [Intimidate lmao 37.]

[ kyp finally turns his gaze back to the gun, looking between it and rose's expression with growing unease.

"Maybe I'd be better taking my chances on my own," he says bitterly. dean grimaces. ] Too late now, Two-Face. [ to rose: ] Get him in here before someone sees.
