The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Someone's intel came through. Who'da thunk? [ Yeah, this won't be one of those conversations where he's not an ass. Also, he may have explored other avenues. You know, getting home - maybe to his Elena. But, as long as he felt she wasn't dead - something he feels like he'd just know - he didn't quite give up.

[Even with a Nat 20 on her Will Save, the best Rose can manage is deadpan, letting her silence speak for itself.]

[ With a wisdom check of 10, this sounds... right. ] Evil dictators are slippery. [ He assumes. ] How long has everybody been stateside?

Seeing as I've spent the last three months tracking Elena and Kyp with Dean... [She lets out a sigh as she launches into an explanation.] We tracked them as far as Andres and got back here just in time to ship out. Kinda been out of the loop on all the Castle comings and goings.

[She considers him for a long moment before speaking again.]

What happened to you then?

[Rose acknowledges the 'thank you' with a brief meeting of eyes, face otherwise a mask before she's back to scanning the room. (WS 24).]

Probably won't help. My brother hardly remembers her. [ He waits a beat. 'They were together' stays on the tip of his tongue. But, it's not something Rose needs to know. Elena, on the other hand - probably at least deserves to know. ]

That - it - is... [You don't even know.] You're Squired to Dumage? [ (WS 16) Though Rose could make a Nat 20 Will Save and still say that like it's a bad thing and she doesn't even know the woman. Elena. She told her things.] No idea but, yeah. Probably a good plan. Have you spoken to Wynn yet?
