Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

The Knight's new section head, Wynn, and their mentor Knight wait up at the front of the room for their approach, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

[So chatty. Very impressed. Felicity will saunter her way over at some point, drink in hand, taking a break from the rest of the room. When she glances over, there's a quick once over before she breaks the ice.]

Words with Friends? Or is it that drawing one that I'm completely terrible at.

[ her hands clasp in front of her, not the anxious knotting that is common with her. for a moment she struggles with deciding to gloss over it or just tell stiles what happened. ] Belle did. I said no.

[Felicity scaled back a bit for this party (disguise 16), but she still looks lovely and as she makes her way around the room she can pick up a few familiar faces as well as new ones. When she spots Will, she makes her way over with a small smile.]

[Sup, Alice. Felicity is making her rounds and meeting all the newbies, and she catches sight of Alice, her dilemma, and because she is a girl, knows that pain all too well (sense motive 22).]

[ cordelia grins at the compliment, but then waves a hand, as if to play it off. ] What, this old thing? I just threw it on when I couldn't make up my mind after the ceremony. [ uh huh ] But I love those shoes! Did you have them dyed?

I had a few options, really but... the pursuit of knowledge is really at the heart of an Elder Druid's quest.

[ he doesn't even stare for very long, such a gentleman. ] You too?

[ vi looks like she tried and then got distracted halfway through by pie or something. her hair is its usual messy curls, she's given up trying to tame that beast. but she bounces over to stiles with a smile and grabs him in a hug. ]

I thought you guys were supposed to be the social ones. [ vi, looking like she put in as much effort, comes up with a smile. ] You're not dead. Well done.

[ vi is here because stiles invited her, but she can't help but be drawn to cordelia because she looks like a giant sparkle and vi loves shiny things. so she butterflies over. get it? butterfly. i'm so droll. ANYPOODLE. ]

[Caught off guard, Stiles stumbles back and knocks over a tray of some sort of food in the process. He's laughing, though. Basically everything tonight is the best. He can't be brought down.]

[ she wouldn't have minded if he asked, she would have just hedged around the whole truth. but she's grateful that he doesn't ask. and when she smiles, nodding in answer, that gratitude is reflected in it. ]

Yes please. It's way fancier than Cora's party was.

I thought Sir Gar was kidding at first, but... Here I am.

It took like, loads, of effort, really. [ she's teasing and doesn't seem to mind that she's help make a mess. that's like everyday for her. it's only amazing that she wasn't the one that knocked anything over. ] I went on my own secret adventures. I became a ninja. Met the Queen. I'm gonna win a date with Harry.

[ she crit failed her gossip check so she just looks at him like what? ]

...huh? I'm pretty sure the remaining Dragon's Claw doesn't want to have sex with me. Very sure.

[Carol comes up to her, in uniform this time, and grins at Cordy.]

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you you're gonna be great, but I'm saying it anyway. Nice work.

I don't know. [ A vaguely uncomfortable shrug of one shoulder comes in place of a real answer. ] The Hoard, yourself. You're like the second smartest person I know.

[With a disguise of 21, Helen might still turn a few heads, even though this isn't her party. She's here to support her squire and to congratulate the other new members of the diplomatic sect.]

So... does it feel any different? [She's found that it does for some and not for others. Her smile has that same maternal warmth it always has.]

[Helen is still wearing this banging outfit at this party too. Approaching Sam, she has a drink to offer him.]

[Thoster didn't even get the memo to dress nice with his disguise of 11 so you get this sight, Alice. But he's all smiles as he quickly crosses the room to his (now former) squire's side.]
