Between the various members of the wedding party, everything comes together just in time for the big event. Within a few weeks' time, the day has finally arrived. Whether they've met or spoken to the bride and groom, the entire isle of Andres is invited to this event. Cool colors are prominent throughout the ceremony set up on the Andres coast. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flower arrangements to the beautiful blue sky and sea, it's a very calming atmosphere.

Once the ceremony is finished, everyone is invited to the reception, held at the Andres palace. There's food, drink, and music. Tables are available, but with such an open guest list, there's no assigned seating- other than the main table up front where the wedding party and their guests will sit last supper style.

[ his sense motive was low enough that he doesn't really even know what to make of the excitement, although he can't stop the pained smile from creeping up the corner of his lips as he looks down ] She's something else, isn't she?

[That answer just makes her shipper heart jump with joy.] She really is. I'm glad to have the chance to get to know her now. Hopefully I'll have every reason to see her around more now.

[because you two are totally gonna get together and live happily ever after right????]

That would be nice, huh. [ he sounds a little wistful, but there's clearly some doubt there. ]

Mark? [She gives him a curious look.] Is something wrong?

I... think maybe, yeah. Can we talk? I mean, it's your big day, maybe this is a -- bad time. You know what, it is. I'm sorry.

[witchwoman]

[She actually doesn't even respond with words, just takes his hand and leads him away to the nearest exit, where they can step away and talk in private.]

It's never a bad time for you to talk to me when you truly need it.

Here I thought getting the country back would be the hard part. I never gave enough thought to what might come after.

[ a beat ] Lara... expects our betrothal to hold, now that I'm back.

[witchwoman]

[Myri nods, taking it in and trying to not assume quite as much about where this is leading.]

And how do you feel about it? About her?

Honestly? I-- I don't know. She's changed so much since we were young. And she's beautiful and ... Maybe we could be happy together.

But I'm not--

[witchwoman]

In love with her? [Myri says, tilting her head, trying to see if she's reading this right.]

[nosdacariad]

Yeah.

But it's not... as though I ever expected to get to marry for love.

[witchwoman]

Mark, everyone should be able to marry for love. [She feels strongly about this on a normal day. But today is her weDDING DAY FOR GODS SAKE.]

Whatever arrangement your parents may have made shouldn't change that.

Our traditions are the reason I have any claim to the throne of Andres in the first place. If we just pick and choose which ones to uphold, why should anyone bother to put stock in that much?

[witchwoman]

Because a blood right to a throne and entering a loveless marriage aren't at all the same!

To you, maybe. My parents had an arranged marriage, and I never heard either of them say a thing about one another that didn't speak of real love. It just... came to grow after they were together.

[witchwoman]

I think that's certainly possible...

If you don't already have feelings for someone else.

Someone... else?

[witchwoman]

Mark. [Gives him her most mom-like mom look. Apparently that shit kicks in really early.]

[nosdacariad]

... Ok, so maybe it's... become a possibility. [ he looks away ] I never even thought about it, really, not until--

[witchwoman]

It's alright. Things like this will creep up on you in the best of circumstances. But you're in a unique position. I think that... if you can be honest with yourself about it, the rest might come easier.

Easier for who? Because from where I'm standing, all that realizing this has really led to is the understanding that I'm going to hurt somebody no matter what I do.

[witchwoman]

Mark... [This time his name is said softer, stepping closer and reaching for his hand.] I'm not asking you to make any sort of decision right now, to do anything but be honest about what's in your heart.

[nosdacariad]

[ he doesn't say anything for a long beat, letting that sink in, and chewing this over before it comes out. ]




If I love anyone - no, whether I want to let myself or not--

I love Alainn. Maybe I have for awhile, I don't know. I never really thought to put it in words.

[witchwoman]

[Her OTP are slowly becoming canon on her god damn wedding day. Best present. She tries to contain her smile as much as possible.]

That's good. Saying it- even if you don't know what to do with it. I know it feels too big and complicated to seem like it, but trust me. Being honest with yourself about what your heart wants is always the most important thing.
