[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of this half of the month.
You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt. ]

Anyway, spring is springing and Violet is taking advantage of the natural boost she gets in the six months of the year her mom pops up from the Underworld like a whack-a-mole. Which is why she can be found outside in the back garden, digging in the dirt of the forlorn looking flower beds. She's not at all pale anymore, suddenly tan and glowing like she'd had a facial and her hair looks freshly deep conditioned. Spring rocks.
A moment after her hands dig into the dirt, the dead flowers decorating the grounds burst into bloom. She rocks back on her heels and unearths her hands, wiping them on her tee shirt before brushing her hair back from her face, supremely self-satisfied.]

so when violet looks up eventually, she'd see her favorite one, standing beneath a trellised arch on the path, wearing something other than armor for once, although his sword still hangs at his belt.
there's a strange expression on his face of mild surprise. it looks like he might even have been caught staring. when he sees her notice him, he says: ] Onalle naa vanima.

Like he's not pretty enough to give anyone a complex already. Really? Luckily, she has more self-esteem than Lady Gaga so it doesn't bother her much. She presses her palm to the ground and after a couple seconds a vine creeps out, winding around the trellis. The vine stops and shudders and explodes into bloom. Wisteria everywhere.
Now that is an arch.
She wipes her hands on her shirt again and makes a face.] I have no idea what you just said, so I'm just going to assume it was a really awesome compliment.

Beautiful.
[ he turns to look at her again, almost the shadow of an actual smile somewhere on his face ] I said your gift is beautiful.

[Yes, that was actually a really awesome compliment and Violet is either blushing or she has a sunburn. She doesn't have a sunburn.
She straightens up, tugging at her shirt.] Um. Thanks.

But when she shifts uncomfortably, fingers drumming against her leg, a little blanket of light purple wildflowers sprout at her feet. Rude. She winces and looks down.] Like that.
