The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Faye isn't stupid. She's brash and hot headed and doesn't always think things through, but she isn't a complete moron. The crunch of bone as it snapped is a sensation she would rather never repeat. At least now she had friends in high and healing places (hello Lissa) which may or may not be the reason that Faye isn't afraid to stride over towards the food.]

[This time? Faye's not scared of Rose (will 23) but she does believe that her nose might be crooked, though (sense motive 9). She's not really concerned with any of that, though. Because for some reason, Lissa stopped Faye from bleeding out, and even before that, she wasn't that bad. And as much as Faye doesn't like to admit liking having people around, it's been happening more and more lately.]

You know what's crazy? She gives a shit about you. She doesn't talk about it, but it's right there on her face. Hell, it's why I stuck around at first. I wanted some ammo to get back at you one day, but you know what I found out? She's not that bad. [Which is high praise from Faye.] Actually kind of cool when she's not playing up the perfect princess thing.

[She steps closer, getting up in Rose's business and sneering.]

She really had intended to avoid all this bullshit tonight and would have been perfectly happy to let Faye be but the stupid little bitch didn't know when to let it alone and after having to deal with both Lila and Lissa? Rose was done.

(Crit Failing her Will Save) Rose cocked her arm back and swung straight at the other girls face. (Atk 22. Dmg 7) and if it lands? There will be a quip to follow it up;]

Now you have a reason to go see her.

[The punch lands, but Faye manages to turn to avoid her delicate nose bones, taking the blow hard to her jaw, her lip busting against her teeth. Rage bubbles beneath the surface, but she manages to keep herself under control (will 24)]

I don't need a reason, Rose. I don't need an excuse.

[Because she and Lissa are friends, even if Faye doesn't quite know how or why. But she knows that's what it is. She turns to go, hand coming up to wipe at the blood on her lip.]

[Rose merely smirks at Faye, feeling remarkably better now. She knows full well Lissa will just heal it away and they can get together and bitch about what an awful person Rose is. Rose just doesn't have an actual fuck to give about that. It might be healed in five minutes time but for five minutes, Rose has the pleasure of knowing that Faye would look like a puffer fish and that almost made having to deal with every asshole in the castle tonight, worthwhile.]
