The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ the boss is in attendance, of course. albeit a bit distracted. he'll still hover until the party breaks up. ]

[ lila is loitering by the bar, surprise, looking hella fly in her all white (or off-white, really) ensemble. she's texting. also not a surprise. interrupt her. ]

[what's up y'all the party can start now that astrid's here looking like she rolled out of hot topic. with a drink in hand, she looks a mixture between bored and possibly looking for someone. ~~to torture.~~]

[Even though I literally just posted one of these up yesterday wtf. Apparently a little ~~t&a~~ booze and conversation was all Aedan needed to become a familiar face up in this bitch again.

He's actually taken the initiative to put himself together this time around too (Disguise 21). Not to say that he didn't appreciate the Tyra makeover treatments he was given the last time he came out to celebrate.

For the most part he's just lounging with a drink, people watching. As it turns out, it really wasn't as interesting as everyone says it is. Feel free to invite yourself over and join him.]

[Rose and Squiring parties have a long history of things going very, very wrong. Like the time she broke Faye's nose. Or the time that Lila creepy-touched her into making out with Faye. She might have been avoiding them for a while since that last incident...

But she's here and she's mostly bothered to look her part [Disguise 14] and who knows? Maybe she will be able to get through a whole night without blood being shed. Stranger things have happened.

Feel free to bother. It's Rose. She'll be somewhere near the food.]

[Thoster looks pretty good (disguise 17) but not in the traditional way. He's still not very fond of this world's clothing, so he makes due with the clothes he arrived in. It's something of a decision to return to his roots. He needed to remind himself of who he was in order to forget what he lost.

A man does strange things to overcome a broken heart.

Mostly, he's ~~trolling for ass~~ flirting and being excessively friendly. He's loud and laughing and all over the place at the party. You could run into him literally anywhere.]

[Nels Llendo is looking quite charming with a Disguise check of 20. He's wearing a rather extremely colorful outfit that looks a bit like this He's got a thing for bright and flashy, despite his apparent severity, and he couldn't resist this outfit.]

[It may also stand out that (At least his hand is visible in this suit) his right arm is some strange prosthetic that appears to be made from bits of metal, bone, and spider's silk.]

[He wanders around the hall, mingling through the crowd of those gathered.]

[So ... someone helped David dress (disguise check 16). It was probably Lissa. He's not completely perfect but he actually looks really hot.

Too bad he has no idea how to take advantage of that.

Regardless, David is doing his usual lurking in a corner with a drink thing and occasionally venturing out for food. Apparently looking good does not translate into social skills. Too bad.]

[Kate has kind of got this tousled rock star thing working for her, and while it's not the most elaborate outfit in the world, it works for her (disguise check 19). Plus those green shoes are probably super cute.

All the same, she's got a drink and is mingling. She hasn't decided who she's going to talk to quite yet, but she's keeping an eye out for familiar faces and will wander their way when she finds them.

Otherwise, feel free to bug her.]

[Felicity is keeping it simple this time around, not really feeling all that flashy (disguise check 11). She's still keeping up her usual pattern of mingling, never staying in one corner of the room for very long.

Sitting (or standing) still has never really been one of her strong suits, but she can manage for a bit if you wish to speak with her.]

[No matter what happens, Brantley is always up for a party. And as usual, the flirt dresses charmingly like a celebrity (Disguise 18). But this time, rather than walking around from one place to another, he stays in one place, observing the festivities. He is not in the mingling mood, but if you bother him, he'll still probably flirt anyway.]

[If there is one thing Jordan knows how to do well it's cleaning up and looking damn good for a party. The squiring ceremony had gotten him all hyped up and now he is ready to let off some of his nervous energy.

He is so excited to meet everyone and nervous about making a good impression at the same time that he ends up being a bit late to the festivities. Once there he picks up a glass of champagne, taking a small sip and glancing around the room sort of searchingly.

Come bug him all you want!]

[ francesca is partying like a rockstar tonight (disguise check: 49 aw yeah) with val'drin at her side and a wine glass in her hand. val'drin leans in close to speak at her ear, and she smiles coyly, her hand squeezing his arm affectionately.

come interrupt, as she's clearly feeling quite gregarious this evening, her smile bright and inviting. ]

[ Myri has learned quite a bit (more than she ever wanted to, maybe) about fashion in her many months spent with Burt, in Finnick's world, and as such, she looks lovely with her 16 disguise check (although it's notable that her hair is once again white).

She hesitates on the far end of the room, and she seems to be all but avoiding Wynn, whether consciously or not. She has her reasons.

It's strange, to be standing here, stranger still, without the rest of her 'family'. So for now she'll hover, and observe what's changed since her last time here. ]

[ so halfway through this party thing, gus swans in looking like a gq motherfucker (disguise 20 total) and heads straight for the bar.

go figure, he had to show up in the middle of a squiring party. no. this is why he came in the middle of the month.

anyway, his bored looking ass will be mainlining the bar until someone convinces the veteran knight to, idk, smile or something. it's a really nice bar, he's fond of it. ]

[Helen keeps it classy as hell while she makes her way around the room, looking poised and practically perfect in every way (disguise 24). Her smile comes easy as she moves from one small group to the next, filling her time with small talk and catching up with faces, old and new. She's been with the knights for about three decades now and isn't afraid at all of social interaction.

Feel free to run into her as she moves around. If not, maybe she slides up to the nearest person and offers them a spare drink she has on hand.]

I do love a good squiring party.

[After Faye's encounter with Rose, she does exactly what the other brunette had thought she would... She seeks out her friend with the nifty healing power. To be fair, she waits it out, because while looking for Lissa, she spots her chatting with Wynn and knows better than to interrupt her while she's dealing with the big boss. But soon after, she heads on over.]

Hey. [Busted lip and a nasty bruise forming on her jaw/cheek area. Yeah- it's been a fun night.]
