The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ augustus harrison: furthering the gay agenda one kiss at a time. well, if the gay agenda is his dick, at least. he allows thoster to take the lead, arms creeping around his waist to pull him closer, a rumble of a laugh getting caught against his tongue. yes, this is indeed what he had in mind. ]

[The rumble of Gus' laugh gets matched by one from Thoster, though it's more of an intoxicated groan as he's pulled flush against the other man. This is strange and new but whatever. Thoster loves adventure. This is just a sexy adventure. He breaks away after a few more moments of intense make outs.]

Think you said something about laying down? My room's not far. [Also it has a mirror on the ceiling.]

[ good, his room is good. it will mean he won't have to kick him out and he can just leave once they're done. ] Lead the way.

[ he pulls one hand back to gesture to the door. go for it, stud, he'll be close behind. ]

[AND LEAD THE WAY HE SHALL. The room he keeps is still with the squires. It's nice, though. A bed, a few chairs, a cabinet where he keeps more booze. Oh and that mirror on the ceiling is totally there. As they walk in, Thoster turns and cants his head to one side.]

Harrison. [ first names are useless. he gives the room a cursory glance and unbuttons his jacket, shrugging out of it and tossing it lazily across the back of one of the chairs. handy. ]

[It's a nice ass okay. And that nice ass is going to flop on his bed because his urge to be sexy is competing with his urge to keep the room from spinning.]

And what brought you my way, Sir Harrison?

[ the complete lack of other dudes tbh. but that's ~rude, so gus doesn't say that as he saunters forward, loosening his tie. it's hard out here being a gq motherfucker. ] You looked fuckable. [ he stops in front of thoster. ] I'd hate to be proved wrong.

Afraid I wouldn't know. I'm usually the one doing the fucking. [Look he knows that the term can be used both ways but he's making a point here about his lack of gay experience. He doesn't seem offended or upset about it. He just raises an eyebrow to see if what Harrison has to say about it.]

Like I said, first time for everything. [ he means you tho. first time for you. his hands lift to thoster's shoulders, one sliding up the curve of his neck to tilt his face up as gus dips his head to kiss him again. ]

[There's a protest that dies on his lips as Gus comes back in for another kiss. His balance is... a joke right now (no really... i rolled a 5, so that would make it an 8...). As the man adds even the slightest weight into Thoster, he rocks to fall back on the mattress.]

[ it's like he's not even trying. and you know what, that is fine with gus. he's very, genuinely okay with it. he plants one hand next to thoster's head, so he can continue kissing him as he leans over him, his knee on the bed, but his other foot still on the floor. he'll give thoster a few more moments to acclimate himself. ]

[The liquor makes his head swim. Kissing is nice, and he's disoriented enough to keep from noticing the lack of feminine touch. He groans against the man's mouth, a muffled sound that may or may not be understood as Andie's name

...Because it's just fate that Thoster's last love interest has a name that's typically a dude's...]

[ gus gives no fucks at all. he's taking that to mean thoster is in the zone so he starts to undress the other man, even as he keeps kissing him. silly clothes, getting in the way. ]

[Since he's decked out in his original arrival clothes, Thoster's pants and shirt are simple and complicated all at once. There are buckles and buttons and rope ties. It's probably better that this happened, because he's too drunk to get himself out of that shit anyway.]

[ gus actually seems to have no trouble with thoster's crazy clothes. (dex 17, he's on it.) he just continues kissing him while he's at it.

After, Thoster gives a chuckle as he lounges back.]

[ gus is rly good tho. twenty years of practice, bb. and you know what, thoster might get off easily because gus is a fucking master, but it takes gus a while longer and the other guy is practically a virgin (AT LEAST IN THIS CASE) so he is mildly concerned for his well-being.

What's that got to do w- [Thoster doesn't realize at first that he must have slipped and called out for the girl while he was with Gus.]

Someone I care a great deal for. But she's not interested in that, in me anymore.

[ whatever. not like gus cares. ] Huh. [ another stretch and he pushes off the the bed, pulling his underwear on and looking to locate the rest of his clothes. ] Maybe you should look into playing for the other team.

Hmm- think so? [He laughs lightly, not looking at all like he's in any mood to follow Harrison out of bed.] Never gave it much thought before. Never met a man pretty enough, I think. [There is an obvious unspoken 'until now.' Because the charm just doesn't stop with this guy.]

Oh yeah, trust me. You'd be well received. [ aww yeah getting dressed. ]

[Still chuckling and shaking his head, watching as Gus gets himself ready to leave. He's been the one doing the leaving enough to know that much. But he's not upset by it. He'll just idly chat while there's someone to listen.]

Kind of you to say. Think I've been looking to just forget the heartache any way I can. Apparently that means trying out a few new things.

[ oh please save the drama for your mama, honey, the amount of fucks gus gives is non-existent. ] Well, take it from me. Not a fag in London that wouldn't want your ass.
