The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Brantley has been living his whole life in this world of fairytale. So, it feels less storybook and more biography to him.]Well, I guess this world does feel like a storybook in a way. But that's what makes this world interesting, right? After all, a storybook full of interesting characters and plot twists is much more interesting than a dictionary.

I didn't say it wasn't interesting. I'm just used to things being a lot more... black and white.

Well, I know it's hard to live in a world that is different with the one you are used to. But, that's life, always throwing unexpected things at you. I can't help you if you want to paint this world black and white, but if you need a friend to help you navigating through the rainbow, I'll be more than glad to fill in the position. [Brantley gives her a warm smile. They may have just met, but that doesn't mean he can't consider her as a friend.] Just close your eyes and count to three, when you open your eyes, I'll be right next to you. Well not literally, I'm not one of those wizards. [He chuckles light-heartedly as he jokes a bit.]
