The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Tomorrow? Tonight I plan to occupy your time elsewhere. [He means here at the party but if his eyebrows are a little suggestive, it's not his fault, right?]

[ she likes all of those suggestions, ok ] Tomorrow'll work for me, you'll just have to remind me, okay?

But for tonight, what do you have in mind? [ as she leans in playfully ]

For starters, why don't you help me show all these people up on the dance floor? After that...well we'll have the whole night ahead of us. I'm sure we can find some trouble to get into, don't you?

I really hope so. [ she holds out her hand for his, eyes set on the dance floor ] Lead the way.

[bluffcheck]

[His hand grabs onto hers, tugging and twirling her until she lands with her back resting against his chest. He's seen these modern dance movers okay. He's hip. Speaking of hip, his hands find hers, guiding her back a few steps until they're officially on the dance floor. He moves well with the beat (dance 18) and leans in to speak low in her ear.]

You're a breath of fresh air, lass. And a gorgeous one at that. [His game is pretty on point tonight (cha 16)]

[ she follows his lead, gladly, and falls into step with ease (dance 24). her face is alight with joy and amusement, and just the faintest flush along her cheeks (will save 12) at his words. she shivers at his breath against her ear and gives a throaty chuckle in return. ]

I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the constant need to be entertained. And you've yet to disappoint, by the way.

You're also quite the dancer. [ and she can't help but flirt in return (cha 20) as she presses herself back against him ]

[The compliment and the way she moves has him utterly charmed (will 14) and his hands grip a little tighter at her hips, pulling her back against him as if they weren't already flush against one another.]

Any time you're in need of entertainment, feel free to find me. Perhaps I'll grant a wish or two for you to change things up, hm? Anything you can come up with.

[ the word "wish", even said in such a non-threatening way, causes her to tense for a moment, but she shakes it off quickly, otherwise unperturbed. ]

You seem to have all the tools at your disposal. [ which, with the way they're pressed up against each other, is quite an obvious innuendo ] You can sing, and dance, and you have your own ship. I'm very curious to see what other tricks you have up your sleeve.

[They're close enough and he's paying enough attention to notice that little but of tension (wis 15) but he doesn't mention it. Discussing more serious matters would only ruin the game right now.]

I'm quite quick on my feet. Never much for plans. I like to think that life is more thrilling when everything is a bit of a surprise.

[As if to prove the point, he spins her suddenly to face him, standing just as close, a little smile lifting the corners of his mouth as he looks down at her.]

[ she laughs, completely thrilled by all this, and holding him just as close ] I couldn't agree more. I don't think I've ever made a plan in my whole life. And, well, if I didn't love surprises, I'd have a rather terrible existence.

Spoiler, I lead an amazing life. [ or at least it seems so at this moment ]

How's this- the world's starting to thaw from the winter's chill. Seems a shame to stay cooped up indoors all night. Feel like going off an adventure in town with me tonight?

Oh yeah, definitely! [ her eyes light up, a mischievous spark at play behind them ] Only if you can promise real adventure, and hopefully some trouble, too.

On my honor as a bard. [He reaches to thread her fingers with his to take her hand before breaking step from their dance to hurry out of the ball room.]

Tell me you know how to drive those car contraptions. [He's a little stubborn about learning to captain a new vessel okay. He's very loyal to his ship.]

[ she accepts his hand, once again following his lead ] Oh yeah, sure. [ and if not, she's sure as hell up for giving it a try.

as they make their way past some of the tables, she'll snag as many bottles of booze as she can hold in one arm, passing one to him as well ] It's free, right? So, why not? [ and she throws him a wink, finding his hand again and intertwining their fingers ] To the garage!

[Theyre so getting thrown in jail tonight. Not that Thoster knows or cares about that. He accepts her offering and grins.]

Aye. This way. [He guides them both in that direction...or what he thinks is that direction (navigate 5). Yeah they're gonna get lost.]

[ haha fiona crit failed, which... makes a lot of sense, because there's no way she'd remember that. she's popped open one of the bottles already, though, and is drinking out of it, all classy-like, as they make their way across the yard toward... someplace or other. ]

I'm pretty sure it must be... [ she closes her eyes as she spins the two of them in a complete circle, arm outstretched in front of her. she finally stops, pointing in some random direction. ] This way!

[ don't forget, she does have amazing luck, so it very well just might be that way... ]

[Well if she's going to drink, he'll open the bottle she gave him and take a swig as well. He doesn't seem bothered at all about losing his way. He laughs loudly as she spins and points for the pair of them to go another way.]

Must be, yeah. And if it isn't, maybe we can find something worth getting into back that way, hm?

[He arches an eyebrow and laughs again before following after her down the way.]

Where there's a will, there's a way. [ and they seem to be nearing some kind of building, separate from the castle. ] I seem to be able to find trouble no matter where I go.

I think that's what I like most about you. Other than your backside.

[ she laughs, shaking her hips a bit, and throwing him another wink of her shoulder ] Yeah, I get that a lot.

[ they reach a door into the building, and fiona reaches forward to throw it open, peering inside with her perfect darkvision ] Ah ha! I was right. We found the garage.

[Thoster is gonna need a little light to be sure but he trusts her and is...probably watching her butt anyway.]

Lucky that I had you around. [He takes another drink ] Pick any of them. Wynn's got plenty. Which one looks the fastest?

[ she moves towards something sporty, not thinking to switch on a light for him. as she runs her hand along the side of the car, she seems to realize something. ] Wait, where do we get the keys? Are they just... inside the car? [ as she throws the door open to further investigate (p.s. the keys are not in the car) ]

Afraid I don't know about abou- fuck!

[He sure just slammed his shin into something. (Dex8)]

[ she gives him a funny look that he can't see anyway, before it dawns on her and she laughs. ] Gods, you should turn on a light before you break something! Or, you know what, let me get it for you. [ since she can find it much easier than he can.

she flicks it on, and her eyes are closed as the light envelops them as not to shock her system with the sudden bright. ] There, much better. And you know what? I have an idea.

[ she's just gonna make her way back to the car and see if inspiration strikes her on how to make this baby work without a set of keys. ]
