The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[So Thoster is... not sober (fort 6) when Gus comes sliding over. He glances towards the man, not recognizing him really but not at all bothered by it. He grins all the same.]

[ aww yes, gus clocks the rate of drunk easily (wis 18) and his smile widens in response. well, maybe wynn is on his side. ] Remind me who you are again, I haven't been around for a while.

Thoster Chatwyn, at your service. [He even gives a little bow, but... the dice hate him (and love Gus) so he stumbles and bumps into the other man. (dex 4 omfg).] Sorry, friend. Must've lost track of the floor there for a minute.

[ gus catches him easily (reflex save 16) and he keeps hold of him for a few moments too long before he lets go. ] Looks like. Maybe you need to lay down, get your bearings... [ diplomacy 24. ]

[Thoster doesn't want to lay down! He wants to party all night! But... okay maybe that makes sense. It makes a lot of sense, actually (will 11). He pulls himself back a bit, placing a hand on Gus' shoulder.]

Maybe just for a bit. Would hate to miss such a fine party, slumbering away.

[He looks a little confused, then laughs a little.]

Well if not for that, then what? The room would stop spinning just the same if I sat, wouldn't it?

I'm sure we can find something to entertain ourselves. [ he moves next to thoster and puts an arm lazily across his shoulders, gently urging him to move forward toward the doors before leaning over to murmur something inviting, and blunt, in his ear. (charisma nat 20, perfect i'm dying, 21 total) ]

[Thoster doesn't normally enjoy the company of other men. His preference for the ladies is pretty well known, but he's been drinking quite a bit (probably since before the party began) and the low murmur and suggestive nature of the man's words cause his face to flush hot (will 9).]

...Sorry? [He's still moving towards the exit, though.]

First time for everything. [ yes, good, he is pleased with the way this is going. but he pauses for a second, stopping them from reaching the door and uses the grip he already has on thoster's to drag him forward and kiss him. wowzas. (dex 15 & cha 15, pls enjoy) ]

[This is.... unexpected, but Thoster is boozed up and ready for the night of his life. He just... sort of thought that would be with a pretty girl and not a pretty man. Still, he can't deny that this guy knows what he's doing. Unfortunately, shock and a slower reaction time leaves him a little lackluster on his end of things (dex 9, cha 3 which is a crit fail whoops). But really he wasn't ready for it!]

[ ...oh lord this is the bottom of the barrel. BUT SLIM PICKINGS (and being too lazy to drive out to a bar in london) means he's gonna take what he can get.

he pulls back slightly, not much, just enough to speak. ] How 'bout we try that again. [ mmm, yes, he peppers thoster with a handful of tiny, fleeting kisses, the barest brush of their lips. slow and steady wins the race. ]

[With his head swimming, Thoster's still a little confused. Kissing men isn't normal for him, but it feels good? And he's sort of in the mood to just go with whatever life throws at him. Hell, this is already more than Andie ever seemed interested in- plus that lewd little comment from the man from earlier. The light little kisses give him a chance to get his bearings and make a better show of it.

He puts a hand on Gus' chest and stops the assault of smaller kisses so that he can take a breath and smile.]

Not quite what I think you had in mind. Maybe something more like... [He grabs at the man's shirt and pushes him up against the door fame, laying one on him (dex 20 total, cha 21- awh yeah)]

[ augustus harrison: furthering the gay agenda one kiss at a time. well, if the gay agenda is his dick, at least. he allows thoster to take the lead, arms creeping around his waist to pull him closer, a rumble of a laugh getting caught against his tongue. yes, this is indeed what he had in mind. ]

[The rumble of Gus' laugh gets matched by one from Thoster, though it's more of an intoxicated groan as he's pulled flush against the other man. This is strange and new but whatever. Thoster loves adventure. This is just a sexy adventure. He breaks away after a few more moments of intense make outs.]

Think you said something about laying down? My room's not far. [Also it has a mirror on the ceiling.]

[ good, his room is good. it will mean he won't have to kick him out and he can just leave once they're done. ] Lead the way.

[ he pulls one hand back to gesture to the door. go for it, stud, he'll be close behind. ]

[AND LEAD THE WAY HE SHALL. The room he keeps is still with the squires. It's nice, though. A bed, a few chairs, a cabinet where he keeps more booze. Oh and that mirror on the ceiling is totally there. As they walk in, Thoster turns and cants his head to one side.]

Harrison. [ first names are useless. he gives the room a cursory glance and unbuttons his jacket, shrugging out of it and tossing it lazily across the back of one of the chairs. handy. ]

[It's a nice ass okay. And that nice ass is going to flop on his bed because his urge to be sexy is competing with his urge to keep the room from spinning.]

[ the complete lack of other dudes tbh. but that's ~rude, so gus doesn't say that as he saunters forward, loosening his tie. it's hard out here being a gq motherfucker. ] You looked fuckable. [ he stops in front of thoster. ] I'd hate to be proved wrong.

Afraid I wouldn't know. I'm usually the one doing the fucking. [Look he knows that the term can be used both ways but he's making a point here about his lack of gay experience. He doesn't seem offended or upset about it. He just raises an eyebrow to see if what Harrison has to say about it.]

Like I said, first time for everything. [ he means you tho. first time for you. his hands lift to thoster's shoulders, one sliding up the curve of his neck to tilt his face up as gus dips his head to kiss him again. ]

[There's a protest that dies on his lips as Gus comes back in for another kiss. His balance is... a joke right now (no really... i rolled a 5, so that would make it an 8...). As the man adds even the slightest weight into Thoster, he rocks to fall back on the mattress.]

[ it's like he's not even trying. and you know what, that is fine with gus. he's very, genuinely okay with it. he plants one hand next to thoster's head, so he can continue kissing him as he leans over him, his knee on the bed, but his other foot still on the floor. he'll give thoster a few more moments to acclimate himself. ]
