[ someone is creeping on the training room. maybe she's lost. she certainly doesn't look like someone who particularly enjoys violence, most like she's a little lamb who has gotten completely lost. she hasn't, she just likes to get a feel for things before she actually makes a move to do anything. so she's just creeping in the corner, twisting her scarf around her hands. ]

[ it's actually fred who comes up to her, wiping sweat off his brow, that also stains the front of his shirt. he's got a sword in hand that he casually sheathes in his belt. ] You're new here.

Yeah. Is it that obvious? [ also hi, you are hella attractive and abigail is hella attracted. ]

I try to keep tabs on the newcomers. Fred Jr. [ he extends the hand that wasn't just... wiping his sweat away ]

Abigail. The only. [ cause you know, he said jr. she shakes his hand delicately. ] I just got here a few days ago.

Oh yeah? From where?

Minnesota. [ she twists her hands together in front of her again. ] I grew up there.

Oh yeah? I'm from Jersey, myself. Never been to Minnesota.

It's not worth it. I lived in Baltimore for a few months, that's next to New Jersey, isn't it?

Sorta. Can't say I really miss it, anyway.

Neither do I, but there isn't much to miss in Bloomington unless you like hunting.

Yeah, most people don't hunt with a sword.

Well, most people don't hunt monsters.

I know people that hunt monsters and they just use guns. [ but her little smile would imply she's just being facetious. her monsters are all human. and she's... seen some shit that isn't human lately. ]

Well, we've got plenty of people here who do the same. Sort of a personal preference kinda thing. [ he nods towards the armory doors ] Wanna take a gander?

I actually have one... but I heard you need to get certified? I'm not a squire yet, so I don't have anything else to do. [ shrug. ]

[nepotism]

Oh, great! Yeah, I mean, you can hold on to your weapons here and train all you'd like but you can't take a gun into the field until you've been certified. Luckily you're looking at a certifier right here.

If I went and got it, could I do it right now?

[nepotism]

Nope. The window's only open for the next thirty seconds. After that, no certifications for the rest of time.

Thanks! [ ain't even bothered by your teasing, look at that flash of brown hair as she turns and hurries out if the room. she will be back a couple minutes later, though, now with her rifle. it's on, son, it's in like donkey kong. ]

[ well, lbr, abigail can handle a gun better than a baby so the comparison is not unwarranted. and very complimentary. she follows after him obediently. ]
