[When no one's actively around to hear her, Taradiddle can admit she isn't a perfect cleric.

Yet.

She's certainly got the potential, though. She knows she can do it. And the one way to get better is to practice, right? But whenever she's stabbed people to show off/get practice, they've put up huge fusses. Like they can't take a little bit of stabbing. Whatever. Taradiddle knows one person who won't complain. Which is why she can be found outside in a secluded little corner with her pants rolled up... casually using her dagger to stab herself in the leg.

It's a good, clean blow (atk 16, dmg 2) but she sure wasn't as prepared as she thought she'd be. She lets out a pained shriek, clasping her hand over the wound.]

Oh, fuck me backwards! Holy Baravar that hurts!

[Luckily she's... a cleric so she manages pretty quickly to gather the magic necessary to cure minor wounds. Twice. Just in case. She pulls away her hand and exhales. No wound. Not even a scar.

She beams pumps her fist in the air.

She rocks at this.]

[He sees the whole thing, but doesn't really get it yet.]

There's got to be a better way to practice that. Unless "no pain, no gain" is really literal for this place.

Well, you got so upset when I stabbed you. [Yes, that expression is definitely a pout. She's pouting cause you were so unreasonably upset about her stabbing habits.] I figured I'll be the most understanding.

[He snorts a laugh.] Sorry for enjoying my blood staying on the inside? I just have a hard time believing that the big guy can't come up with a better way to practice.

Sure, I can practice in other ways. But all the practice in the world won't prepare you for casting the spell on an actual bleeding person!

[ vi has been casually watching this go down. she would have intervened, but the little gnome seemed to have it well enough in hand. and vi is all for the teaching yourself kind of thing. (apparently that means stabbing yourself, too. look, half her scars are self-inflicted accidents.) ]

Not consistently enough, anyway. [She shrugs. It seems pretty normal, and anyway, it hardly counts when she healed it away so fast.]

And you can't find any particularly masochistic volunteers? [ a beat. ] I'll volunteer.

Great! [She beams and without further ado, whips her knife around and stabs Vi in the leg (atk 20, dmg 5).]

[ oh my son of a motherfucker. she flinches, because she was just stabbed okay! but she doesn't cry out. ] Okay, that happened. Healing would be helpful.

Well, yeah. [She puts her hand over the wound and shuts her eyes briefly. A light glows from her hand and 8 hp flow into her! It's beautiful and magic. Taradiddle pulls back and smirks.]

Yes! I mean, I knew that would work.

[Bambi has no idea what's wrong with you girl, but she is observing with a cigarette dangling out the side of her mouth.]

You know, if you're into that sort of thing... maybe you shouldn't do it in public. They call hotlines for that shit.

[Look, she isn't gonna judge. She hung around people in college who were big into that stuff. It's nasty business, but it's your body. She removes the cigarette for a second, contemplatively.]

Right? They'll be happy I practiced when they're bleeding out during a mission and I'm the only one who can get to them fast enough.

Of course not! I'm practicing. Why is everyone acting like this is so weird?

Usually when one practices stabbing a man, they don't do so on themselves.

Well, yeah. It'd be pretty stupid to stab myself if I didn't have a way to heal myself.
