[Faith shifts a bit on the stool, turning to face him more properly. Not that she's planning on hopping stools to be right next to him, but she can at least be somewhat polite as she talks to him.]

It's Faith, too, by the way. Not that I mind being remembered for the punches I throw.

Logan. [ a beat ] Or Wolverine. But the last kid I told that thought I was pulling his leg.

I buy it. Though, I'm also "The Slayer" - so the whole names that strike fear thing isn't new territory.

Slayer. [ he repeats the word with some amusement ] Suits what I saw. You born with all that or-- [ the lines of mutant or not were blurred in this world of magic and mayhem. he's only met a few who even use the word mutant in the way he's used to it, but there are plenty of other sources of power here. ]

Or did a magical fairy wave a wand over my head? [She's amused, but she shrugs it off.]

I guess it depends on what you want to believe. It's a mystical thing. One chosen in each generation type gig. You can believe that the powers get passed on or that they get activated - but either way, it happens all at once and from that point on there's just a lot more power behind everything. Speed, strength, agility, stamina. [Okay, so that was a bit flirty... but she can't just turn that off. It's her other super power.]

Rid the world of vampires and other things that go bump in the night. [She shrugs.]

It's never as simple as that, though. Kinda one of those things where circumstances make all the differences in the world.

Don't they always?

Seems kind of a tall order for one person, powers or no. Aren't there thousands of those things out there?

Yeah, you'd think. [She takes another pull off of her beer, glancing to him.]

I think the reputation helps a bit. They stay outta trouble, rob blood banks instead of kidnap people. Slayers have the package, but there are others out there that are fighting, too.

I heard we've got vampires in the ranks here. What about them?

If Wynn trusts them - then I trust them. [Faith takes a sip of her beer.]

One of them is from the same world as me. Kinda tapped out in the memories of his old life department, but he's fighting the same as the rest of us.

You sure it's the same world?

Could've had some wires crossed, but where I'm from - there's a him. Just with all his memories.

I just meant they ain't always the same, even if they seem like it. I showed up here and found somebody from a world almost exactly like mine, 'cept not. She knew me backward and forward, and I'd never so much as met her.

Yeah? [Faith hadn't considered that.]

You sure it's not just the veil punching holes in everything?

She remembers me being 5'3", and wearing a lot of yellow spandex. Pretty sure no Veil wipe was gonna make either of those things true for me. Ever.

[Faith leans back a bit, giving him a once over.]

Yeah... definitely not seeing that. I mean, I have a damn good imagination, but you definitely don't rock yellow.

[ he notices the look, and catches her eyes when they lift back up, raising one brow ] Just don't tell me you're imagining the spandex.

[She smirks, canting her head and gesturing a bit as if she's trying to express just what sort of get-up she could see him in.]

Maybe not spandex, but a bit more contoured...

[She laughs.] Nah - I'm just giving you shit.

Let's just say I'm glad Wynn's not a big stickler on staying close to a dress code.

Trust me, I'm definitely not someone to stick to any sort of uniform.

You'd at least pull off the spandex better.
