[ this is basically like learning her dad recruited her brother, okay, and neither of them told her. ]

[bc he is 1) a boy and 2) not very smart, this just seemed like some random happenstance to him. also he thought eric might have told her i guess. basically Alex is dumb.] Huh, yeah. [he nat 20s his next blow (24 total) letting the dull side of the sword rest against her neck so that she may take a moment to realize how badass he is. :) ]

[ she gasps a little because he'd been sucking up until then, but recovers quickly enough to step back a step and jab the rapier

at his junk. (atk 19, finally.) ]

You're the rude one. [he takes a step back, then strikes at her again, letting the first slash go wide (15) but nat 20ing again on the second one (19 total after subdual/nonproficient penalties.) he presses the dull side against her waist. hooker.]

[ she laughs, shrugging as she twirls out of reach again, slapping the katana away with a ping of metal on metal, making alex come to her. ]

[he goes after her ... and swipes so hard his sword flies out of his hands and sails across the room lmfao wtf (crit fail)] Shit!

[ lila takes the opportunity to squeal in delight like she's won, switching the rapier to her off hand and letting it fall as she leaps forward like she's going to hug him. but jk she's going to try to trip him, even if she has to go down with him like some adorable and violent recreation of the lion king. (atk 19) ]

[he knows what's going down but is too slow to stop the force of her fury aka his opposed roll was lower than hers, so down he goes.]

[ so she basically sits on his chest like haha success! and drapes the rapier across her shoulders like fucking lancelot. ]

[he rolls his eyes.] Yeah, yeah, we'll get you a fuckin' medal.

[ leaning down, she kisses his forehead before swinging her leg off him and reaching down to help him up. ]

Why thank you, I'll treasure it forever.

[ambitionist]

[he doesn't actually say whatever, but that's what his face seems to say as he gets back up.] Uh-huh. Round two?

Bring it on, starshine. I'll even go right handed.

[ she's ambidextrous when it comes to weapons and she watched the princess bride recently. don't judge. ]

Whatever floats your boat. [he goes to pick up his katana from where it fell, still choosing to wield it two handed. MORE HANDS EQUALS MORE POWER, LILA.]

[ JAB! it misses and her tongue pokes between her teeth in concentration. right handed is hard. how do right handed people do it. ]

[ his first slash is so off it's like on mars somewhere (atk 5), but he manages to rein it in a little on his second attack (12) still not good enough to hit her, though.]

[ her next strike only just misses, so close (atk 18), it goes right between his arm and torso and she makes a frustrated noise as she pulls it back. at least she's just as capable with her right hand, that's so mollifying. ]

[ambitionist]

[he swipes JUST PAST HER SO FUCKIN CLOSE (atk 17) and now he is pissed too. so pissed it makes him worse i guess. (13) THEY'RE JUST TOO GOOD. or ... too bad.]

[ with another semi-near miss (atk 13), she takes the chance to switch back to her left hand. ]

[ambitionist]

Quitter. [with a little smirk, he manages to crit on her awwww yeah (atk 21 after penalties) and then ... crits again. which would only be atk 16 after penalities but it's still a crit, so. he is just pwning her ass.]

[ she grits her teeth and cheats, quite frankly, forgoing the sword to kick him in the shins.

with a nat 20. GO FIGURE.

while she is a graceless winner, she's really bad at losing too. ]

[and he ... hops around like that will make him feel better. jk it only makes him look stupid.] Ow! Hey!

[ epitome of the kanyeshrug, she strikes while he's hopping around, but he's wiggling to much so she misses again. (atk 16) ]

I'm sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to be taking it easy on you.

[and then he makes an attempt to disarm her, dodging the weird flailing attempt she makes at him and successfully sending her rapier flying onto the ground. (23 vs 18)] Whatever.

[ her first instinct is to knock him out, but it's alex and she won't do that. she can't trip him again because he's holding the weapon. so she leaps back with her hella cat grace and uses mage hand to zoom the rapier back into her grip. ]
