[  Jaina Solo has been searching for more information about the Jedi Order and the Force for years now, certain that she and her family can't be the only ones who fell through from a galaxy far, far away.  It would seem that her search has finally paid off:  a Jedi Master may have been recently seen in Malaysia, taking a boat to the island of Luzon, where she was discovered dead on the slopes of a volcano.

With the fallen Jedi's lightsaber in hand, Jaina has asked her friends and family to help her investigate, and try to recover the lost item that the Jedi was carrying on her person - one that was not left with the body.    They've decided to head to the port first, to see what rumors may be left in her wake.  The beautiful Malaysia port of Kudat looks out over inviting blue waters, a number of ships lined up here of all shapes and sizes.  ]

[ he nods once. "Some kind of mask, yes. I did not see much. Silver, maybe." ]

You don't have to apologize. [ She's quick to school her expression, tightening it, then drumming up the smile that this old dude has warranted. Regardless of who is waiting for them in this metal mask and cloak, they're one step closer to him. ] Thank you. You've been a great help. [ she looks down at the photo, then holds it aloft to indicate it and asks, ] Can I keep this?

[ the man hesitates. "It is the only photo I have of him..." ]

[ Oh. :( She all too keenly identifies with the pain of not wanting to give up something like that. Luckily, she has an idea for a solution (wis 13). ]

I understand. [ she nods, then pulls out her phone. ] Here. I'll just take a picture. If I find him, I'll be sure to say you're looking for him. [ she snaps a picture of the picture, makes sure it's clear, then hands it back to the old man. ] Thank you.

[flyingsolo]

[ he nods and takes the picture back inside as jaina, miles, and poe converge on rey ] Did you find something?

[forcevisions]

[ Rey turns and nods to Jaina. ]

The same day the Jedi traveled to Luzon, another boat left carrying a passenger in a black hood, who wore some kind of silver mask. The ship hasn't returned yet. [ She holds up her phone. ] This is its captain, the man I believe we should be looking for.

Nice work! That's a lead if I've ever heard one.

Then I guess we know who to find next. Next boat to Luzon?

[cuivre]

Sounds like a plan to me?

[forcevisions]

That's just what I was thinking. But— [ She looks to those she knows have been in this world longer: Jaina, Miles, and Han. ] Are there any other islands close enough that they might have sailed to from Luzon? If they're not still there, we might need to chase them.

[flyingsolo]

I'd have to look at a map, but I think there are a lot of islands out there.

[forcevisions]

Then we'll have to hope that someone on Luzon saw where he went or that he left some other trail.

Standing around here isn't gonna get us anywhere. BeeBee-Ate can help trying to do a facial identification program so that we have more eyes on the island trying to find this person.

We'll need to secure passage across. [ Which I think is diplomacy? ? for making deals and stuff. Rey is gonna find someone soliciting boat rides and rolled a 25. ]

[ while she is up to that, jaina notices... ] ... Where's my Dad?

[newgenwraith]

I haven't seen him since we split up.

Did he say where he was going?

I have an idea. [ THERE'S A BAR OVER THERE ]

[cuivre]

[Miles glances over, eyebrows lifting.]

Well, if he's not actually there, maybe someone saw him.

[newgenwraith]

I'll go see if he's there. Bee-Bee Ate, stay with the group.

[the droid whistles an affirmative and moves next to Miles. Poe will then head off towards the bar and slide in, looking around specifically for the remaining member of their group (spot 17)]

[It's... really not hard to find him. A loud chorus of groans and cheers comes from a table and Han smirks as he sweeps his earnings towards him. He glances up as he does so and catches Poe in his peripheral vision (spot 21).

.......oh right, he was here with a mission, and he sure slacked on it.]

Well, fellas, it's been fun, but looks like you'll have to lose all your money to someone else now.

[He stands up, stuffing bills into his pockets, and waves at Poe.]

[and he will wave back and wait for Han to join him before leading him back to the rest of the group]

Rey has found a lead for us and we're about to leave.

[swordofthejedi]

[ yeah jaina is gonna meet them with an amused expression. REALLY DAD ] Enjoying yourself?

[parsecs]

[Han smirks back because hey, if he's gonna screw up at least he's gonna act like it was all according to plan (bluff 29).]

You'll be happy to know I got us a boat. I figure we'll need one sooner or later.

Looks like the answer is "sooner".
