Cordelia and Steve have gotten together to plan a rather fun party to celebrate Sarandis being taken down. Abbie even managed to grab them a rather awesome band to entertain the guests and everything else was hand picked and decided on by Cordy and Steve. It's not as fancy as a squiring after party, but it's just as fun. The ballroom has been "dressed down" a little to match the relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy yourselves!

[ He spares a look down at her hand on his chest and then back up at Cordelia. Studying her quietly as they dance. ]

[ The humor sorta helps, but at the same time he's nervous so it makes him more nervous. He swallows the lump in his throat and nods. With a smile though. ]

Do you ever--talk about us to other people? [ He's leading up. ]

[ she looks slightly as if she's been caught red-handed tbh ] I-- I mean, it's... come up... Who said something? Was it Alisha? Because I assumed what was said in the girl's bathroom was going to stay in the girl's bathroom... [ oh god she's rambling ]

[ Steve is quiet for a moment as he resists the urge to ask who she called him that to. What even? ]

Okay. I feel like we're talking about two different things. [ He smiles. ] How do you see us?

[ she blinks, s-lo-wly catching on ] ... You mean... us, us?

Well, yeah. We're kind of the only us I know of.

[ He pauses. ]

Like a couple? [ it's hard not to hide the lilt of hope in her words ] An... exclusive couple?

Yeah. A couple. Exclusive. You and me.

[ He looks a little petrified. ]

Do you see that?

[ she's so happy that she forgets ... to use her words again (crit fail will save this happens a lot), and just reaches up to pull him down into a long kiss, tilting her forehead against his when she's done, her voice a little breathless. ] That's a yes, by the way.

[ He doesn't see that coming. Then again most of what Cordelia does catches him by surprise. Maybe Rose didn't give the best advice about things like this, but she was right about just talking. Being direct. In her own little special Rose Hathaway way. When the kiss ends and he can breathe he's all smiles. ]

So, that settles it. [ His voice drops low to a more intimate volume given how close they are. ] You're my girlfriend.

[ her eyes are as bright as her smile at that, and she sounds pretty proud as she announces: ] And you're my guy.

Your guy. [ He repeats out loud. A smile takes over Steve's face as he lets it marinate in his head. ] I'm your guy. I think I'm gonna like being your guy.

Well, yeah, I mean. Think of all the perks. [ she's teasing at least. probably. she's just really happy, ok ]

[ Steve's head cocks to the side a little. ]
