The plan has been set, and the Knights are on their way to New York City once again - this time with the desperate hope fueling them that they can save two of their own, instead of simply endangering them further.  Jack and Buffy have greater stakes in this than anyone - as it is Jack's fiancee, Gar and the love of Buffy's life, Rafael, who are currently in the grip of the vile villains that have plagued them for the last four years.  Knowing fully well the risks that are inherent in potentially facing down the dangerous Mind Master, who shattered Myri's life in an instant by breaking Finnick Odair's psyche, their plan is to divide and search the warehouse as quickly as possible - knowing that every second counts, when an alerted team of bad guys could take the lives of their captured friends.  

It's an unparalleled gamble, but may be their only opportunity before Rafael and/or Gar are moved from the facility.  To that end, they converge at a nearby hotel...

Oh thank Heavens you're alright. [ says the person who was just kidnapped... ] I think that means we should find a way out of here... quickly.

Good news is, all the big bad guys buggered off. [With Dumage.] So it shouldn't be too hard to just walk out the door.

Gar? [Rose just stares at her for a long moment, eyes narrowing a little. (Sense Motive 27).

Glancing at Jack is if looking for him to confirm that really is her.] We found Rafael but whoever that was, wasn't Raf at all. [A beat.] The Mindmaster.

[ jack nods slightly to rose, who also doesn't sense anything off about the woman. ] Either way, I don't think we should assume that they won't return. Quickly - but stay alert.

[littledhampir]

[Jack's nod more than her own instinct sees a small smile touch her lips, some of the tension easing from her shoulders.

With little more than a nod of agreement, Rose retrieves her stake and prepares to move out with the rest of the group. (Listen 32, Spot 29.)]

[bigbad]

[Spike nods, keeping to the back of the group as they start to move out. His ears are sharper than ever, but he's a little too busy thinking sadly about Dumage to really watch where he's going (spot crit fail, listen nat 20).]

[allmydreams]

[Felicity is still slightly reeling from the news that Dumage had pulled a Benedict Arnold, but she's keeping herself calm and doing her best to focus on the mission at hand, which is currently getting Gar and Steve out of there and to some medical attention.

Felicity will make up for Spike's bad spot with a slightly better one, though she'll let him do the listening (spot 23, listen 16).]

[ He's feeling whatever the hell that guy did to him, but they still gotta get out of here and in one piece. So far they haven't had the best luck, but they did get Gar. A small victory for them. Maybe they'll get another soon enough when they can track down Raf. He does his best to stay sharp though (spot 32, listen 14). ]

[slay]

[ Buffy lingers, a part of her wanting the fight, wanting something, but she has to remind herself that they aren't leaving empty-handed: they've recovered Gar. Reluctantly, she takes a few steps back, then turns to follow the crowd (listen 31). ]

[rationalizes]

[ it's spike, rose, and buffy who hear it at the same time - the strange distant sound that is reminiscent of ticking, and spike picks up on something else - a slow, steady hissing noise as they make their way through the warehouse. ]

[bigbad]

Oh, bugger, everyone MOVE! [Spike isn't totally sure what he's hearing, but he's also pretty sure they'll all be a lot happier learning it from as far away as possible. He shoves at anyone directly in front of him, not willing to leave anyone behind but also trying to make sure people get the bloody picture.]

[Oh ffs not this shit again.

Yeah at least she rolled a high enough Wis check to figure it out this time, Rose already breaking into a run as Spike calls out.]

What now?! [ kat doesn't waste any time in following, but as rose makes it to the door, she's about to find that the heavy metal exit does not open - nor is there a locking mechanism visible to open it from this side. ]

[Felicity will not argue and just start to move - whatever it is, she probably doesn't want to know until they're at least far away from whatever it is that will do them harm. If she is able to eventually catch up to the door, she will scan it and the area for another way out (spot 25).]

[Casually rolling Will Saves for PTSD. (WS 28)]

Bomb - [Rose's eyes dart around as she looks for a way out. (Spot 33) Then turns to look at Myri.] How many people can you teleport out of here?

[A good solution, but one that might not get everyone out. He hands Myri the files he took from the office without a word, cause if anyone's getting out it's her, then he pushes through to the door. This may be a long shot, but it's what he can do.

He looks back at Buffy and Rose.]

Come on!

[Then he's gonna full round attack the door (atk 38 dmg 13, 23 dmg 15, nat 20 though I assume no crit bonus on doors dmg 12, 23 dmg 11) then he winds back for another last kick and slams his toe into the door (heroic surge crit fail).]

Bloody fuck!

[ yeah ok that's convincing. she'll roll in there with her full round attack as well while rose handles the potential escape plan (atk 34, 41, 40, 27, 21; dmg 14, 19, 18, 19, 13) ]

[Oh no. This is literally her worst nightmare. Because she knows her spells have limits and those limits are that she can only teleport 5 people.]

About half of us, I think... But I can come back. I prepared enough spells, so I should be able to take half, come back, and get the others.

[She just has to be fast enough. And they have to decide who goes in what group...]

[ felicity would notice that there are windows, but they are all very high up, and would require moving crates to reach - time they might not have.

spike's strikes do minimal damage to the door but buffy's fists bend the metal outward, and it looks ready to crack open. ] We don't have time! [ panic rises in gar's tone as she looks around, her words punctuated by buffy's resounding blows ] Even if we get that door open, we need to get as many far away from this building as quickly as we can.

[ the implication as she studies the structure of the building around them is that they're going to have a hard time outrunning the blast range of debris if the explosion is at all sizable. she spares one desperate gaze for jack, before looking back to myri ] Take however many you can.

[Barely able to ignore the rising panic inside of her (WS 16), Rose shoots a scornful look up at the rafters of the warehouse, then takes herself out of the equation with who Myri should take.]

Go! [As she turns into the door that Buffy & Spike have been attacking; Unleashing a series of desperate blows:

ATK: 33, 35, 27, 27, 39 (Heroic Surge 2/5) DMG: 17, 15, 12, 16, 17.]

[ rose's blows finally send the door shuddering open, and jack wastes no time in specifying to myri: ] Take anyone wounded. [ he gestures to the open door ] Go!

[ Steve knows he doesn't stand a chance with that blast with his injury. He won't be able to outrun any of it. Which means he steps to Myri knowing he will do better here. He'll just slow people down and cause more problems. ]

[Rose doesn't need to be told twice okay. As soon as she busts through the door she starts running at full speed from the warehouse and even heroically surges (3/5) to get as far from it as possible. All the while looking for anything that might provide halfway suitable cover when shit goes boom. (Spot 33).]

[witchwoman]

[Myri glances to Steve at her side, then looks at the rest of the group. Leaving Buffy, Spike, and Rose behind breaks her heart but she should be able to bring the others with her safely. And those three are he most resilient of those left so...]

I'll be back for the three of them. The rest of you need to get close. Now. [Diplomacy 35. There's no time for arguing okay. Steve, Felicity, Gar, Jack, and Kat should all be able to join her this spell.]

[Felicity doesn't resist and she doesn't argue, just does as she's told and steps back to get as close to Myri as she can. It could be seen as callous by others, but the logic of it makes sense. Buffy, Spike and Rose are stronger and faster than she is and trying to fight to do the noble stupid thing is only going to waste time for people to get out of there alive.

So she gets close and waits for Myri to do her thing.]
