[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.  This takes place after the Knights have returned from rescuing Gar in New York City, but before the planned Keijen Blade concert at the beginning of 2017.

Yeah. It was really ... kinda weird, huh? Spooky. Whole chunks of world being spit out of the veil, instead of just some people here and there.

I take it that sort of thing hasn't happened much? I'm still pretty new to the whole Veil thing.

Oh! Uh, yeah, no. Not at all. I'm not an expert, but as far as I know, it's usually people. Or uh, living beings, anyway, counting the monsters. Sometimes objects — weapons, artifacts, that sorta thing. Lots of small stuff.

So that really is a departure from the normal. Wonder what else is going to start coming through.

If more big stuff comes through? I dunno, man. It could be cool, but it could also be really dangerous. You saw how things were in Little Underdark. In-fighting among Shadowkind is probably the last thing we need right now.

The races of the Underdark are not well known for integrating peacefully. If they're forced up to the surface, they won't come quietly.

True enough. But is just leaving them alone out there in Xibalba the best idea?

I don't know, maybe? I know I don't want to deal with any more drow and mind flayers than I have to.

Me either, but ... it still feels like somebody ought to help them. Even if they don't want to integrate into society, if they start fighting with each other and throwing down heavy magic, it could mean bad things for the surrounding area.

Do you think someone should help them, or help protect innocent civilians from them?

Can't it be both?
