[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies. This takes place after the Knights have returned from rescuing Gar in New York City, but before the planned Keijen Blade concert at the beginning of 2017.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. Ahhh too many questions. Jyn briefly closes her eyes and takes a breath before they snap open again.

"I'm fine," she mutters and it's not quite a lie. She is fine, she can't feel the pain from her injuries anymore, only the lingering heaviness of being exhausted and desperately in need of a mild coma. Her expression is still decidedly wary and she glances at Poe's cup before shaking her head.

She doesn't trust either of them enough to take a drink from them.

"Where am I?"

"Four blocks from where you passed out, private room in a clinic." Poe just sipped his caf because more for him then.

Rory nods in agreement with a small smile. "I work here, so they let me use the space privately. No one's been in or out but us."

Which may nor may not be very comforting, all things considered, but at least the number of people she's been exposed to is limited.

Jyn nods, the wariness not subsiding but not seeming to get any worse either. Wary just seems to be her current state of being.

She looks between the two men for a moment before turning her attention back to Poe.

"It took them years to build the Death Star, how can there have been two?" She might have thrown up and passed out, but she remembered why she threw up and passed out.

"Well, from what I remember, the second time they didn't finish the exterior completely, just the planet killing features."

Breathing out a slow breath, she nods. "I'm sure they took care of the flaw in the second one as well."

Her father's legacy, foiled.

Planet killing. Part of Rory wanted to ask just exactly what kind of place they were from. After all, this seemed like the kind of thing the Doctor would want to fly in and thwart, one way or another. But it doesn't sound like this universe had a Doctor.

Or maybe sometimes the Doctor lets people work through things on their own. He can't end every war, every time.

But he'll keep his commentary to himself, just listening quietly to the conversation and waiting for them to need him to speak again.

"From what I've been told, it still exploded just the same. Not that I know a lot of the details. It's from before I was even born, I think."

Jyn holds her hand up toward Poe like please stop. "I can't think that far ahead."

Because a. she won't be there and b. it's just too much. He's older than her, it's mind-boggling that he was born after she died. She died and the world continued on and Jyn knows that but it's still way too much to handle.

"So who are you?" They introduced themselves, but Jyn missed a lot of it because of the blood rushing through her brain and they did seem to be part of something bigger than themselves.

"I'm Rory. Williams." He pauses for a moment before tentatively holding a hand out to her to shake it. "I'm not from your universe. Or this one. Different one all together. But that happens a lot around here."

"Poe Dameron. I got here awhile back but the rift scrambled a lot of my memories so I can't tell you many specific details about my life beyond that." Not frustrating at all, nope.

There's more than one universe that's nice to know. (It's not, it's also too much.) She can still barely accept that there was more than one Death Star, now there is more than one universe. Okey doke.

"You're a nurse and you're a...?" She didn't figure out what Poe is, aside from the future.

"Pilot. X-Wing class. Pretty damn good at it too." When he's not crashing into Earth after falling through a rift.

"What's the use of an X-wing pilot if there isn't an Empire?" Wow, Jyn, could you be more harsh. ...probably. But it's an honest question. X-Wings are starfighters, if there isn't a war to be fought what is the point of them?

"That..." Poe runs his teeth over his lower lip. "That's actually kinda classified. You'd have to join the knights to see what I use my skills and ship for these days." He looks over at Rory for backup on this.

... Well, Rory wasn't going to talk about the Knights but since it's out there and now it has to be explained ...

"There isn't a planetary empire, exactly, but there are a lot of different nations on this planet who have conflicting ideologies, as well as terrorist groups and what not. We work for an organization that deals with some of those issues where governments cannot intervene."

"Who decides what's a terrorist group?"

You know, she spent a lot of time with Saw, in an admittedly extreme militant group that didn't always make the kindest choices. They'd called Saw a terrorist when he was just trying to do what he could to keep people from being oppressed.

Mostly.

"Usually people above our paygrades. Typically has to do with if they are doing what they are doing to create terror. And if they kill innocent civilians. That's usually a big no no."

Rory also gives a small shrug. "I ran into them because I was taken hostage by a troll on a bus. I think it depends on the day really, but from what I've heard they've gone up against some more dangerous challenges in the past. I think it just depends on who is hurting people where."

It's Poe that really sells her on it. Innocent civilians isn't up for debate, they're innocent. Jyn nods.

"Alright."

Poe nods back. "Alright, so shall we blow this place and head that way?" Because you know, better than this place.

Rory nods in agreement, before turning and grabbing one of the wheelchairs so that they can make their way out without drawing suspicion. Also because Jyn's been through A Lot, so he wants to make sure she's still healing well and steady on her feet.

"I'll sign you out on the way out."

And off they go to return to the castle and introduce Jyn to Wynn!
