[ This log covers any non-work related shenanigans the Knights have while staying in New Orleans. Because we haven't finished out the other two logs yet, assume some time has passed since then, in case anyone was injured, so that they've had sufficient time to get better.

As for work stuff, you can assume they've been busy with establishing Finnick's fake rock star cred, and investigating some of the intel they'll uncover in those other logs that we haven't quite gotten to yet. JUST DON'T TALK ABOUT WORK and all will be well.

[He hands her the drink and sits down.] Here you are. [He takes a sip of his, looking generally happy.] Least Passions isn't predictable.

[ she takes it with a smile, raising an eyebrow because it's like ... peach colored from various fruits. thanks for the glowing review of her personality, spike. ] But apparently we're thinking I am. [ which, okay, granted, maybe she is and as she sips it, it's not bad. BUT IT'S THE PRINCIPLE OF THE THING. ]

[He raises his eyebrow and pushes his drink at her.]

[ she eyes him for a moment, suspicious, then lifts the drink and takes a sip. she sets the glass down quickly while making an ick face, shuddering as it goes down, then slides it back over to him while she coughs and hacks and tries to gather her composure back together. ] God, that's foul.

[He chuckles as he takes it back. That was just the cutest face.] Guess we thought right.

This proves nothing except that your taste in drinks is just as bad as your taste in TV.

This is good scotch. You've just got no appreciation for it is all.

If this is what scotch calls good, I'd hate to try the bad stuff. [ she sticks her tongue out briefly, then turns to go back to her own drink with a newfound gratitude for the peachiness. ]

You're welcome. [For picking a good drink even if it was predictable. He keeps sipping his scotch.] Guess you don't go out drinking much?

Uh ... No. No, I don't really. [ not technically a lie, right? she's barely done it at all in the past six months. it doesn't matter that he probably meant before then. ]

Thought so, with the not knowing what you like drinking. [He nods at what he got her.] But that's good, right?

Tastes approximately zero much like alcohol, which I'm fairly certain could lead some pretty bad places, but ... Yeah. Very tasty.

[bigbad]

Just be smart about it. And if you start thinking stripping nude and dancing on tables is a good idea, I'll take you home.

[slays]

What? No. No nude.

[bigbad]

[He smirks at her.] Guess you're still sober, then.

[ she gives him a brief, borderline suspicious look as she tries to figure him out, but drops it and just takes another drink after a moment. so not touching that. not even a little bit thinking about how that may or may not contribute to des' theory. ]

[He notices the look and holds up a hand.]

I just meant I'd stop you. You're my teammate. I wouldn't let you humiliate yourself cause you're drunk.

[slay]

Oh! You thought -- No. I -- Obviously. [ she waves him off. ] Teammate thing. I figured.

[bigbad]

Yeah. [He glances around the bar absently, toying with his drink.] I like this city. Wonder if I've ever been. You know, before.

[slay]

And if you have, when? [ she scrutinizes him a little. ] Like, had jazz even been invented, or ... ? You know?

[bigbad]

I hope so. What's the point of going to New Orleans without Jazz?
