[Earlier in the week all DRAKENET devices received a message announcing Francesca's birthday party, courtesy of Sir Bancroft, to be held the evening of July 11. No RSVP needed. It's especially good timing now that many mission groups have returned to the castle, at least for the time being.

As the guests make their way in, it's clear the party's been well stocked with food and drink. There's plenty of room for mingling and some music in the background. Gifts are completely optional, but welcome. Come in and get comfortable.]

[ dumage struts in with a dress that seems to have forgotten a front. her hair and makeup is done to the nines and she looks super model levels of hot tonight with her insane 26 Disguise check. deal with it.

Faye apparently forgets that she's the young pup in these parts. Her own disguise check of 22 leaves her lookin pretty fucking classy but still not drawing as much attention as the older woman.

So she does the mature thing and walks over with a fake smile on her face.]

I didn't realize it was that kind of party. Shouldn't you be hiding in the cake, though?

Someone's looking bloody supurb tonight.

[ Is it her? Well, yes, Lear is dressed quite nicely with Disguise 23, her black dress shining red like dark blood when the light catches her just right. But far more modest than Dumage, given the slinky fabric goes from her neck right down to her toes. Still, she seems appreciative of Dumage's choice in attire; and in drinks, since she's snagging a glass from the same tray. ]

[ dumage smirks smugly, glancing over at the woman, and taking a sip ] Far be it for me to let an opportunity pass by.

Truly, more people should go to an effort, don't you think?

Perhaps, but then of course, the rest of us would have to work harder to stand out of the crowd. [ she looks her up and down quickly ] I don't believe we've met.

[Spike meets her around the wine glass area because let's face it, that's where he's headed too. He snags his own drink and smirks at Dumage.]

Nice dress. Not that anyone'll notice with you to look at. [She's pretty distracting...]

[ a smile curves across her face as she sees him, and she looks quite pleased with the compliment ] That's the general idea.

[It's a good thing Dumage is Dumage. Most people would have slapped Spike for a comment like that.] Thought as much. Though you know, the rest of you's nice too. [He means her personality, too. And he's making an effort to keep from staring at her breasts. A moderately successful effort! (will save 12)]

I do know. But I never get tired of hearing it. [ she leans in as she says the last, as if she's daring him to look directly at them. ] You aren't so bad yourself, you know.

[Yeah, his eyes flicker down. Whatever, he made the effort.] Well, yeah. [Even if he wasn't exactly at his best today. Fun disguise check of 5.] But I figured that went without saying.

Doesn't mean there's no point in saying it. [ her eyes scan said bruises of his, looking amused ] Looking particularly rugged today, too.

Rugged, huh? That's a nice way of putting it. [He doesn't need a reflection to know he looks like shit.]
