The murder the Knights are sent to investigate took place in an abandoned warehouse, near the largest highway in London. The aging and dilapidated structure is covered with graffiti and bits of rusting metal.

Squad cars and emergency vehicles have surrounded the building. Outside the main entrance, police officers are questioning a small crowd of people when the Knights arrive.

Fred parks the car, and looks across through the passenger window.

"Must be the place. Let's roll."

She has a point. [shrug] Faye, not you. [motioning at t-diddle] Your point is horrible. They probably have guard-monsters like the one that tore that guy up working after hours, just saying.

[Faye flips her hair back over her shoulder because she is an actual dramatic teenage girl.]

Let's go. [If nothing else, the girl has confidence for days. She starts to walk up towards the building, expecting bitches to fall in line.]

[ the front desk clerk, a young and officious woman, looks up when they enter the very sterile little lobby. there are only 2 chairs against one wall with a plant in between them, a single unisex bathroom, and a wall into the back, behind the desk. ]

"Can I help you?"

Hi. [Faye strides up to the desk and flashes a smile that appears very sincere, which is weird for anyone who knows her.] Suzan Armstong? They should be expecting me.

[ the woman seems very taken off guard by faye's sincerity and looks them over for a second, mouth half open, before resorting to looking on her computer to doublecheck what faye is telling her. ] "Umm... are you... who did you speak to?"

Well, I didn't speak to anyone. My assistant did. Candice. Why? Is something wrong? [She glances over her shoulder at whoever is behind her.] Remind me to fire her when we're done here. [Bluff 19]

"I just have no record of anyone coming in this late. The ... only person on staff at the moment is Dr. Fulbert."

[ she holds down a button on the desk and says: ]

"Dr. Fulbert? I have some... guests in the lobby who said they had an appointment?"

[ she looks back up at them ]

"He should just be a moment."

Thank you. That's perfect.

[She smooths a hand over her hair, looking relieved and glancing back to her teammates. She's just kind of winging it here and hopes that everyone is ready to commit to whatever cover she comes up with on the fly.

[ dr. fulbert is a tall, slim man with disheveled hair. the pocket of his lab coat is burgeoning with pens and pencils, and he carries a clipboard overflowing with papers. his tone is affable as he comes out to greet them, extending a hand. ]

"Hello, I'm Dr. Fulbert. I understand there's some sort of scheduling mix-up. What can I do to help?"

Dr. Fulbert, hello. Suzan Armstrong. [She gestures back to the rest of the team.] These are some of my associates. It seems as though our appointment wasn't in your system. We were meant to have a tour of your facility, and to discuss the possibility of brokering a transaction. [Bluff 22. She steps up and takes his hand in both of hers, fingertips brushing the inside of his wrist as she gives him a smile and a bat of her eyelashes (cha 23).]

I appreciate you understanding and being so willing to help.

[ he stares at her, looking down at her hand and flushing a bit. ]

"I, er, you're very welcome. But I'm-- I'm sorry, who do you represent?"

[reallywicked]

My father, John Armstrong- of Armstrong Unlimited? He's trying to give me a little more authority since he's so busy, and well...this is the first meeting I was supposed to set up on my own. You'll keep it between us that we had this little snag, won't you? [Bluff 16. She tries to cover her nerves with a small smile and a smooth movement of one hand, lightly running up along his arm (cha 17).]

[ he seems to caught up in trying to place the name to really respond to her touch, drawing away slightly to adjust his glasses. ]

"The name isn't ringing any bells, but... perhaps he spoke to one of my associates. But, um... well, I suppose you can come inside for a moment, at least."

[ he moves to the door, and slides an access card to unlock it, leading them into a short hallway, and down to the door marked LAB. ]

"I'm afraid there's not much to see anywhere else - most of the space here is just offices, aside from the laboratory."

Well, that's where the important things happen, isn't it? [Internal backflips once that access card is swiped. Awh yeah. She follows after the doctor.]

[So impressive, Faye. Miles follows suit, trailing after Faye and trying to get a good look at everything as they start to move into the lab. (spot 20 total)]

[who's fucking excited about getting to go into the lab? THIS BITCH. (also who is somewhat impressed? ... also this bitch.) (annnd spot 16)]

[Taradiddle slips in towards the back of the group, looking around curiously (spot 16). She's sort of looking for a good opportunity to slip away from the group and investigate without them cramping her style, but the whole access card thing makes that difficult.]

[ this state of the art laboratory facility presents a stark contrast to the building's plain exterior. microscopes, medical equipment, chemicals, and tanks of liquid nitrogen dominate the spacious room. Three small electronic devices are lined up on a table, beeping quietly. ]

"This is where our work takes place."

[ Dr. Fulbert walks over to a large metal door emblazoned with biohazard signs. beside it is a glass window that reveals only a dim green glow from within the room. ]

"Our work here is quite exciting, as you will see."

[ He opens that metal door as well and ushers them into an immense, dimly lit room, holding the door open to wave them through. On the far side of the wall, Miles and Astrid immediately notice there are four large tubes filled with a greenish liquid. Three are empty, but inside the fourth floats a large beast that resembles nothing so much as a dinosaur in some form of hibernation. ]

[Stepping into the room, Faye is more focused on keeping up the persona and the act than anything else. Getting them in is part 1. Now she has to keep it up and get them out of there once they have information. This is a good start.]

It's your work we're so interested in, Dr Fulbert. How did you get start in this line of research?

[OMG FAYE IS ASKING THE WRONG QUESTIONS SHE NEEDS TO ASK ABOUT THIS FUCKING BADASS DINOSAUR THING. that so has to be the thing that killed whatshisface. while faye is busy ... being boring, astrid decides to take some initiative and sneak over for a closer look at it. (move silently 18)]

[ dr. fulbert looks up at them, smiling fondly. ]

"Amazing creatures, aren't they? I was always into paleontology as a boy, fascinated by Crichton's work... As many people are. But few dared to take it a step further."
