The Knights arrive at the scene of the fire several hours after the fact.  It's clearly gutted the building, located in a commercial district of Rome.  Only one fire truck remains, along with several police cruisers and a van marked 'Arson Investigation Unit' in Italian.  The police team seems hard at work combing over the scene.

A small sign in Italian hangs half-legible over the door.  Though the fire is out, the building still smolders, even as water drips from the blackened timbers and stone.

[Yeah, the fact that the fire extinguisher wasn't working really didn't do much for Kate's optimism at the moment, but she's not going to argue about it now. She turns to follow Alanna, trying to find the quickest way out of there while she could.

Back towards Rose and Bo:]

Come on, let's move!

[Yeah, that's not exactly...super comforting at all. Not that anything about this situation has been, but if a fire extinguisher did literally nothing to a fire monster?

And the place is going to blow?

Now might be the time to get the fuck out.

She reaches Rose, tries to grab her hand.]

We need to get the hell out of here!

[ seeming content with having dispatched rose or w/e, it just keeps floating away, heading in a beeline for moretti. in fact, a direct beeline because it MOVES THROUGH THE MACHINE IN BETWEEN THEM like it's a freaking ghost. and winds up just on the opposite side of the forklift from kate, standing behind moretti. who screams. ]

[Rose might suck at math but one fire extinguisher VS every fire started by the touch of the creepy thing that's immune to said fire extinguisher? The numbers tell her to GTFO.

BUT... not until she knows the others can get out safely.]

Where are Kate and Alanna? [Cause she can't really see through the fire (Crit Fail on that spot check...) but so she's not completely useless, Rose uses the fire extinguisher to try and dowse the flames on the chemical tank...

[ well fuuuuck the fire extinguisher sputters out because it's been... used up now. that's... good. moretti screams more at the monster right up in his grill in unintelligible italian, pushing past kate to try to get away. she gets to make an attack of opportunity if she wants to ... or she can let him go since there's a flaming horror right in front of them. i'll let her slide in a tag with what she does either way (she can either make one attack action or choose to do nothing), but MORETTI PLANS TO RUN FOR IT ]

[Yeah, Kate's not done with you yet. She's going his way though so she's just going to try and grab hold of his arm (grapple check 14), before trying to haul him out the nearest door she can find.]

[ Alanna doesn't take a full run action because she deliberately stays behind Moretti and Kate, putting herself between them and the charred one so that she can get a swing at it if it gets near—but she's definitely joining them in running for the door. ]

[yeah Kate easily gets a grip on him and he wants out if here anyway so he's not gonna fight her ]

Probably hauling ass out the door like we should be.

[And she squints through the smoke, spotting them. (Spot 20) She points, before she starts heading in that direction because seriously fuck this place it's going up there's no stopping it.]

See! There! Now let's go!

[Okay yes good. That's enough to make Rose ditch the P.O.S (empty) fire extinguisher and haul ass along with Bo.

[ as they all converge on the same spot-ish, the flames continue to spread, and the building is starting to fill with thick smoke. everyone must make a fortitude save DC 12 or be unable to do anything for the next round but choke and cough. it's also gotten much harder to see... which is why they might not notice that the flaming creature is bearing down right on top of them until it reaches them, between bo and alanna, its gaze intent on moretti, beyond them. moretti freaks and gets a nat 20 str check to try to break away from kate and book it away. ]

[ alanna crit failed her fort save. she stops moving, dissolving into a hacking fit and completely missing the appearance of the charred one. ]

[Kate tries to keep a hold on Moretti as the smoke surrounds them, but it's no use with his crazy freak out feat of strength (grapple 17). It doesn't help matters that the smoke is filling her lungs and she can't do anything but cough and try and see past it (fort save 5).]

[Well we'll have at least one person that lucked out on their fort save (21) so she's not even cough as they all arrive on nearly the same spot.]

Keep moving, ladies!

[She grabs for their arms and tries to drag them both along (str...nat 20. 25 total. how many shoulders am i going to dislocate this week?)]

[ bo yanks alanna and kate after her, but that just means the charred one comes up right behind them. it tries to slap kate out of the way first because she's right in front of it (atk 12), but she can manage to duck out from under its flaming hand. the heat it generates is scorching. ]

[Team Succukissed for the win basically (FS 18), Rose moving to join the others without the thick smoke slowing her down. As whatever the hell that thing is moves to attack Kate, she actually thinks to pull her gun this time (Wisdom 19), ready to try and distract it long enough for Bo to get the others out.]

[ yeah moretti is running for the hills and makes it out of the door into the lobby area out there, wheeeeeee.

the charred one doesn't seem to take notice of rose. in fact, it very single-mindedly looks intent on pushing past them to get at moretti... ]

[ she passed her fort save this time!! and since it's fucking attacking, i'm guessing she doesn't need a ... spot check to see the charred one now. she raises her sword and takes a swing (atk 21, dmg ... 3). unfortunately this shit is a fucking ghost made of fire because alanna's sword literally PHASES STRAIGHT THROUGH THAT PIECE OF SHIT. ]

[Kate lets herself be dragged along, catching her breath finally and glancing back to see Alana's sword go through the creature and not do ... anything at all really.

All the same, she's going to keep letting Bo drag her through the door.]

[Seriously can we not try to fight the giant fire ghost in the burning building.

Once she realizes the girls can breath on their own and get a move on, she lets them go so they can book it toward the door. (Full movement)]

[ bo and kate will make it back out to the lobby which i will address in a moment... but the charred one moves after them, heading straight after moretti now that the path is clear. which means alanna gets to step in with an attack of opportunity! ]

[ swing and a miss! alanna's sword goes straight through the charred one again (atk 13). ]

[Now it's probably Rose's turn to miss but she can't not try as she aims her gun at the charred one and... doesn't shoot when it hits her that if the bullet goes through it, she's going to shoot her teammates instead. (Wisdom 20 total).]

Any idea what the hell this thing is? [Looking around to see if there's anything that might be of use against a flaming mess of WTF. (Spot 29.)]

[ she doesn't see anything through the smoke, other than a sprinkler system above, which the smoke is finally reaching and enveloping.

meanwhile, out in the hallway, a gigantic fire is blazing at the far end of the hall, and worse, moretti has stopped in the doorway that leads out to the lobby, because a huge fire is consuming that room as well, blocking his way out. ]

Our weapons won't do any good.

[ Alanna looks to Rose. ]

We need to catch up with the rest. Lead it out into the open, and then we can figure out how to battle something we can't hit.

[ She turns to chase after where the others ran out at full speed. ]
