[Where Myri comes from, people don't propose with rings. You just decide to get married. She doesn't need an engagement ring, even if she does understand the concept now that she's been in this world for so long.]

I don't need one- a ring. I just need you.

[And then she smiles. It's small, but very real. This isn't at all how she imagined this might have happened, but with the way things had gone, Myri had wondered if it would happen at all.]

Marry me, Finnick. Tomorrow, a year from now, five years from now- I don't care. So long as I know you will.

[he smiles, too. if he ~couldn't remember the last time he felt this happy~ when he made up with fake-myri, he definitely can't remember the last time he felt this happy. he's climbing into bed with her now. if vi could do it, so can he. never mind that he's like twice vi's size, whatever. and kissing her, that's also a thing that's happening.] I will. I'm going to marry you.

[There's plenty of room in the bed, as far as she's concerned. Her arms wrap around his neck, pulling him closer. Pulling back, her smile grows just a bit wider.]

I love you. And I'm sorry for before. [They had both played a part in their break up and her part in it was something she deeply regretted.] I will always be here for you. I will always support you.

I love you, too. And it's ... it's fine. [he shakes his head. everything he said to kyp is still valid to him. even if it's looking like ~going back to before~ isn't exactly a thing in the cards for them.] I just want to move past it. We're together now, that's what matters.

[She nods, agreeing to let the past go, to think only about the here and now, and whatever might come next.]

How long do you think they'll make me stay here? [This bed is small. Hers is more comfortable (and dem pug pillows).]

I don't know. But I'll stay with you the entire time, as long as you want me to. [another kiss.]

Please. [She's probably not supposed to be all cuddled up to him, but she's not budging right now. A cleric can try to yell at her if they want.] Please stay with me.

[well he's obvs not too concerned about it either.] Of course. I'll stay with you, now and forever.

[witchwoman]

[It's exactly what she's wanted to hear- and this time, it's really him. He's here and he wants to stay with her, wants to marry her. She presses up to kiss him again- because she'd rather just keep on kissing him all night, but she assumes that would be even further frowned upon...Making out in hospital beds it not usually common practice. She settles back, laying her head on his chest, focusing on the beat of his heart.]

[he'd rather make out with her all night too ... but his will save stop him like no son you better not. (will save 12) so he just lays quietly with her, instead. forever.]

[At some point, a thought does cross her mind.]

Do we tell the others? That we plan to marry?

[seems like a weird time but didn't she just scold Vi for this??]

We should, but ... it seems like bad timing, doesn't it? [his brow furrows a bit.] With all that's going on ...

Some would say you had poor timing, asking me tonight, but...that's just how our lives are now. Better to tell them now before we go to Andres.

[part of her wonders if it would be better to wed before Andres just in case they didn't make it.]

I'd been planning to, you know. For a long time before now. I just ... wanted to seize the opportunity. Who knows what tomorrow could bring, with our lives. [meaning yeah he's kind of thinking the same thing.]

So we'll tell them. Together. Once they let me out of here?

[Guess we're having a failboat dinner or something.]

You don't think Vi will mind, do you? [accidental copy cats oops]

I doubt it. If anything, I should be the one minding, given I talked about proposing to you before she ever did to Luthir.

[witchwoman]

Did you really? Before we..? [broke up :( ]

[he just nods. talking a lot about ~that time~ is hard.] It just felt ... inevitable. Like the tide rolling in.

[witchwoman]

You should have told me...[But she understands why he didn't]

Francesca was the one to talk me out of it, actually. [he chuckles a little.] Or at least, convinced me to wait for things to settle. And then ... [we broke up. :( the downward quirk of his mouth says that without him actually using his words.] But what if things never settle? I don't want to wait around, holding my tongue, and then have it be too late. We have to use the time we have.

[Preaching to the choir. Myri had tried to step away and it got her kidnapped. Whoops. She just nods and doesn't say anything for a few moments.]

But it's what you want? Truly? I don't want you... Don't do this just because you feel sorry for what's happened to me. I don't want you to come to regret it.

Myri. [he fixes his eyes on her, s-so serious.] I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you. I wanted it before, I want it now. I can't imagine ever coming to regret it.

[It's hard not to remember how sincere the doppelgänger had been with his face on. She had believed him so completely- she had wanted things to be that easy.

The difference here was that they wouldn't be easy. Myri knew that now. And it wasn't anything to do with him or her or what they had fought about. Finding love and keeping love while facing off against the likes of Chad Becksworth, Keijen, Dimitris... It seemed impossible, but she knew it wasn't. They had found each other again and he was here, he was choosing to stay at her side when it would have been so easy to simply stay away, call it all over and done because of Kyp's trickery.]

I never thought I'd see you again. I used to imagine what I would say to everyone if I could have the chance, what sort of things I would want them to remember. But with you, I... I couldn't. Because I never wanted to say goodbye to you again. That sounds silly now that I say it out loud. Of course we'll say goodbye, the small sorts of goodbyes at least. I just- I'll never leave you, not like I did before. I won't give up so easily, won't give in to weakness.
