What sort of stuff have you tried to break the curse?

We tried to get a magic apple, but that... was a fucking catastrophe. [ she leans her elbows on the metal railing, tracing letters on the glass. ] And I convinced Amara to try to break her own curse, but I had to convince her I didn't think she was cursed in the first place.

[ that is how good a liar she is. because she's obviously not okay with the curse, but she still managed to lie her fucking ass off. ] The memory thing was sort of a last resort. That and... what your sister does? That what Cassel's mom did to me. Sylar can do the same thing. That's the other last resort. Curses are just so hard to figure out. [ and she is so frustrated. ]

Fucking with her memory's not gonna do anything unless you can lift the curse, anyway. She'll forget the guy, but then what? It's like moving furniture around in a blind man's house. She'll know something's up.

Yeah, I know. Wynn said as much. But at least she won't remember making a fool out of herself. I can't just do nothing.

I can't! When it was me no one did anything, I'm not going to do that to her. We already fucked up in Scotland. [ she does not have time for your realism gdi. if gold hadn't fucking torched their miracle tree they could have gone back with two scumbags from the dungeon and traded them in for an apple. they could have taken the seeds and planted them and then set the entire plot on fire. they could have done something but no one was willing to listen to a teenager and hook had to shoot the damn druid before they could even talk about options. yes, she is still bitter. lila can pull a plan out of thin air, but not if people keep destroying her resources. and yes, she is bitter because through all this she's still, apparently, supposed to stay smiling happy girl when she's not capable of that even on a good day. the fact that amara is still under the curse is a constant reminder of her own past, because she wasn't lucky enough to forget it.

maybe amara isn't the only person whose memories lila would prefer be tweaked. ]

If the curse never breaks she's going to be unhappy forever because she won't have the one thing she wants. It's like an illness, it'll drive her crazy. [ peeling her gloves off, she holds out her hand, palm up, so alex can see all the tiny little scars there. she doesn't exactly hide the ones on her arms, but the ones on her hands are usually covered up. ] Emotion work wears off, but it was still six months of hell. And when it did wear off it was worse. I can't let that happen to her.

I guess you would know better than me. [shrug. IDK WHAT YOU WANT FROM HIM.] Sounds like you might be over-identifying with the problem, though. Just my two cents, take it or leave it.

[ she just silently pulls her gloves back on. at least alex didn't dismiss her feelings in favor or someone else. and he didn't call her stupid. so she's go that going for her. she just needs to accept the fact that no one except sylar cares. no one cared then, no one cared now. ] Doesn't matter anyway.

How I feel doesn't, over-identifying or not. Amara is what matters. And Emma, I guess.

Her dad is the one who Amara is in love with. She's got magic -- like, the end all be all. Gold looks at her she's the second coming. [ that plus hook's perpetual hard on for her blah blah blah. it doesn't take a genius to figure out who matters in the scheme of things and it isn't lila. WELCOME TO LILA'S COMPLETE LACK OF SELF ESTEEM. please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. ]

[ shrug, she is all emotioned out. this would usually be when she and sylar started making out because they have the best coping mechanisms. but this is alex, not sylar, so she just nudges him with her shoulder. ] You ever think kissing me is pretty much the equivalent of kissing yourself?

[look alex would be ok with making out with her some more okay. lila is the one who had to put a stop to that. he cracks a smile and shakes his head.] I hadn't, actually. We're pretty good, if I may say so myself.

[ lila really loves her boyfriend. don't judge her. she knows better to think she can have them both. and don't think she hasn't thought about it. she and sylar are both shit at sharing. ]

[yeah ... sylar would throw a giant hissy. and possibly maybe murder alex. we just don't know.] How are we on time?

[ she glances down. ] I dunno, five minutes?

This hasn't been so bad, has it? [all he had to do was make you think about shit that's shittier than enclosed spaces!]

I was trying to look on the bright side of things. [shrug. yeah he sux at that.]
