Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[Myri doesn't really bust a move. She's reserved on a normal day, even if she has picked up some modern dance moves from playing arm candy for Finnick for awhile. She lingers near the dance floor to keep an eye on people, to have sort of second hand enjoyment.

But she won't say no if someone asks her to dance. Anyone, really. She doesn't know everyone at the party, but they all seem nice. And obviously there are others that knows better and would always say yes to.]

[she better not say no to finnick! bcuz here he is, ready to dance with his boo. he holds a hand out to her.] Do you think you could want something like this, eventually?

[witchwoman]

[Like she could ever say no to him. Psssh. And lookin fly like he is tonight? Girl never stood a chance. She takes his hand and follows him out to the dance floor.]

Maybe. I don't think it would be quite so many people. Vi has a lot of friends.

[Waaaaaay more than Myri.]

[he dances like an angel, as can be expected from his previous pop star escapades. (perform: dance 21)] Something small and intimate? I'd like that, too. I'd suggest eloping, if I weren't sure our friends would pitch a fit.

[witchwoman]

Maybe on a beach? [She knows her man. Also she does not have his sweet dance moves and actually missteps pretty badly and starts to trip over her own feet (dance....5).]

[well, she did spend the last few months being empathically tortured and shit ... he can excuse her crap dancing. at the mention of a beach, he brightens up.] I would love that.

[witchwoman]

[She holds onto his arm a little tighter to keep from tripping again. But she's smiling brighter now.]

I think it would be wonderful. And Amaranth would- [Her face falls a little. She's been trying hard not to dwell on her missing familiar today. She wants to make sure nothing darkens Vi's day. Taking a deep breath, she smiles again, a little pained.] It sounds lovely.

We'll get him back. [he pulls her closer, to give her a kiss.] Amaranth is practically part of you, I could hardly expect you to get married without him.

[witchwoman]

[She stays close after the kiss, eyes closed as she quietly says] Thank you.

[Opening her eyes, she pulls back and gives him a more genuine smile.]

It still feels strange that this will be us someday. [The fact that they are together and engaged feels surreal.]

[ all of myri's friends have been so supportive since her return, that it makes it only stick out more that one of her very good friends has not even come to see her yet.

in fact, it's fair to say that he seems to have been actively avoiding her, which only seems evidenced further when he accidentally bumps into her at the party, turns and realizes who it is, and blanches entirely, gaping like a fish ] M-M-Myri.

[witchwoman]

[She's noticed. She isn't sure why he's avoiding her, but she hasn't sought him out. It confuses her and makes her wonder what she did, which is only made more obvious by the way she glances down when they collide.]

Sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going..

[ he freezes in place, tensing at the sad distance beneath her tone. ] No, it's--

[ he exhales, waving a hand ] I--

Hello. [She's cautious, like she's afraid of scaring him off.] Having fun?

I, er -- [ he looks confused for a moment, as if WHY WOULD HE BE HAVING FUN then seems to remember it's a wedding. ]  Uh, yeah!  Lots of-- [ but his face sort of half crumples and he reaches out to awkwardly squeeze her shoulder ]  Myri, I--

[witchwoman]

[Her hand reaches up to rest against his, looking up at him with a reassuring smile.]

It's alright, Mark. Really.

[nosdacariad]

It's not. [ his forehead furrows as he tightens his grip on her hand ] I'm sorry. I should have come see you before now, but -- I've been so afraid to even face you, after how I-- This ... this should never have happened.

[witchwoman]

Mark... What could you possibly have to apologize for? None of this is your fault.

[socialgraces]

[ francesca has a great big smile reserved for myri when she catches up to her after dinner ] Myri! You look beautiful.

[witchwoman]

Francesca. [Myri smiles right back and looks back down at her dress.] Not half as lovely as you. But thank you.

[socialgraces]

Between this wedding, and your own engagement, the blissful glow you've acquired is settling on you well. [ she leans in a bit, and she's partly joking as she asks (b/c someone has to): ] You're not pregnant as well, are you?

[witchwoman]

What? No, I'm... No. [s-so flustered.]

[socialgraces]

[ she can't help by give a good-humored snort at myri's response, gently squeezing her shoulder ] I was only curious ... And perhaps a wee bit excited at the prospect, albeit prematurely, it appears.

[witchwoman]

We haven't even talked about children. I'm not sure if he even wants them. [And truly, she never imagined herself being able to have a family. Witchwoman had a terrible habit of not being able to get pregnant. It was just part of that way of life. But would Finnick want children? And what if she couldn't provide that? Her expression clouds a little as she sinks into those thoughts. It's so easy for her to get lose in her own mind now. She had been alone with her thoughts most of the time on Andres, after all.]

[socialgraces]

[ she watches closely as myri's expression shifts, but she manages not to let hers fall as well ] I'm fairly certain that Finnick wants whatever it is that will make you happy, Myri.

[witchwoman]

[She realizes that he's being a downer again and puts a happier face on.] Oh yes- I'm quite certain that's true. It's just hard to imagine that sort of life with everything that's been happening. I'm sure we'll find the time to discuss such things later.
