Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[Anyone who was eying Archer's table a while ago might have seen him angrily storm out, but he's been MIA for a while now... But that's all about to change; he struts back into the hall, heading straight for the crowd of guys with some call-girl in tow, to prove he can totally get a date for some wedding.]

No, Luthir's hair looks better than mine. [ it doesn't tho, she got a nat 20 on those loose curls so fuck your magic elf hair. ] I don't need evidence of that for the rest of forever.

Kat, what-? [She reaches out for the woman, confused. But then she notices the group of guys.]

[ vi scowls and loops her arm around elena's. ] Come on, EB, let's get some cake. [ her voice drops to a whisper ] I'm the bride, we can steal coffee from the catering tent, no one is allowed to say no to me because of the dress, it's magic.

Not so fast. [ buffy has to do fred a solid by grabbing kat by the arm. whether she's actually helping him out here or not remains to be seen. really she could just be getting him kicked in the nuts (dex 13 to catch her before she sneaks behind them). ]

[Elena gives Vi a grateful look and pulls her a little closer. She loves you so much you don't even know.]

[ kat emits nothing short of a high pitched whining noise. no really. but she relents under buffy's tyrannogrip. sort of. she's still pouting.

meanwhile here's fred and jack at least. and maybe finnick??? idk he could be here for moral support. rafael got caught talking to someone halfway along the dramatic walk over. ]

Sup ladies. [ fred gives them all a warm smile, but he looks particularly amused when he sees buffy using the vulcan death grip to keep kat in place ] ... Having fun, I take it.

[witchwoman]

[Myri slides up to Kat's side, a smile bright on her features.]

You know, we really are. I think it might be better if more people started dancing, though. [She's so subtle, isn't she?] Kat, maybe you could get us started? I'm sure Fred wouldn't mind joining you. [Diplomacy 24. You can't say no to her. She was tortured for two months. Get your ass on the dance floor, gurl.]

That's actually what's brought us over. Hardly an evening without a dancing. [ and much to gar's eternal slack-jawed shock, he extends a hand her way. ] I thought I might ask for the pleasure.

It does take two to tango. [ he tilts his head in kat's direction with a smile ] Or you know, a barely passable kind of embarrassing rendition of something like a tango.

kat looks between buffy and myri and dumbfounded gar and then rolls her eyes dramatically, before pushing gar forward, grudgingly relenting. ] She says yes. [ gar catches herself just a few inches away from jack who smiles down at her, and kat looks across the now empty space between her and fred as if it's covered in hot coals. but finally, she squares her shoulders, exhales out a cuss word, and then holds out a hand hesitantly, frowning at fred. ] ... You get a strong 'maybe'.

[ fred grins at that and reaches out to grab her hand and give her a little tug. she almost trips on her heels but catches herself and heads off with him, glancing back over her shoulder at myri and buffy and shaking her fist at them. ]

[ somehow buffy makes the well-wishing sound like a taunt. she waves with spirit fingers and then turns to myri with a self-satisfied grin. she holds her splayed hand out, palm up. ]

[Myri watches the girls go off. THEY GROW UP SO FAST... even if they are both older than her. Shhhh. Turning to Buffy, she laughs- a clear sound that isn't very common from her these days.]

Oh, I think so. [And with a dex of 16 she doesn't slap buffy in the face! No its just a super cute high five to celebrate sending off their friends to dance with cute boys.]

[ and oh here comes the italian stallion, late as always today. ]

... It is nice to see you ladies smiling so.

It's nice to have you here to see it.

[ she turns towards him, trying to fight back her stupid grin. ]

Nothing could have kept me away. [ he turns to look at myri, a bit of concern behind his own smile ] It is very good to see you as well, Myri. [ and he reaches to give her a hug, b/c :( ]

Oh. [We're hugging now. She will hug him right back because it's Raf and he's like a big italian teddy bear.]

I'm glad you could come.

[ buffy smiles at the embrace—softly, sadly. it's good to know rafael's just as worried about her friends as she's been. ]

[ he pulls back, one hand on her shoulder ] I only wish I could have been here when everything-- [ he waves a hand vaguely ] But this is a happy day. Let us not darken it.

My thoughts exactly. [Watch this bitchy smoothly take his hand from her shoulder with one hand and grab Buffy's with the other and just delicately make this Buffael hand holding thing happen.]
