Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[ she chuckles softly against his neck ] Everyone but you, it seems.

[valdrin]

Oh, I'm not so cynical as all that. I just don't need a wedding to stir up such sentiments.

[socialgraces]

[ she pulls back slightly, enough to smile at him fondly ] I suppose I should be grateful for that. It's not as if we're asked to attend many weddings to begin with.

So what, pray tell, does rouse such emotion from you?

[valdrin]

That dress of yours seems to be doing a fine job.

[socialgraces]

[ she obviously appreciates the compliment, but that's not really what she was referring to. she slides a hand down to rest against his chest, her eyes following it. ] I meant to imply emotions derived from here, rather. Other organs are much more easily stirred.

[valdrin]

That they are. [ he leans a little closer forward, like he forgot the point again. ] But you do a fine job at the other.

[socialgraces]

That's always nice to hear. [ she slides her hand back around his neck so he can't pull away ] But I do believe you're attempting to distract me from what I'd really like to hear.

[valdrin]

Perhaps I'm just enjoying drawing it out.

[socialgraces]

[ she smirks knowingly, kissing him again for good measure ] You most certainly have my undivided attention.

[valdrin]

I'm not certain how I managed to attract it in the first place, but I certainly don't intend to lose it.

[socialgraces]

[ look at that nat 20 will save, because now is not the time for fatalistic brooding. instead, she immerses herself in the moment, her eyes tracing his features with equal parts desire and tenderness. ] I believe it was the combination of your engaging wit, dashing good looks, and a great deal of determination.

[valdrin]

I can be painfully tenacious, when it counts.

[socialgraces]

I'm not sure how I managed to be worth all that trouble, in the first place.

[valdrin]

Maybe it's the eyes.

[socialgraces]

My eyes, or what you see with yours? [ but she is more than just a pretty face... she hopes... ]

[valdrin]

Well, when you put it that way, perhaps a bit of both.

[socialgraces]

What else? [ her tone has dropped seductively low, her own eyes searching his face ] There must be a bit more to me than that.

[valdrin]

There's always that mysterious allure of yours.

[socialgraces]

Mm ... But what good is all this charm if I can't even entice to you say those few words I so desperately wish to hear fall from your lips at least once more this lifetime? [ let this be romantic without immediately turning to sex for just once val'drin ]

[valdrin]

You really are in a state, aren't you?

[socialgraces]

A state of bliss, yes. [ as she grins serenely at him ] Can you blame me?

[valdrin]

I never would. [ he presses a warm kiss to her, pulling her close. ] I love you, darling.

[socialgraces]

[ she smiles at his words, kissing him quite passionately in return. after a few breathless moments, she pulls back, still grinning ] Glad to hear it.

[ and she lets that hang there for a few seconds, still smirking her head off, before she leans back in, murmuring against his lips: ] I love you, too.

[valdrin]

I hope you've enjoyed yourself tonight. [ he sways slightly against her, hand on her waist ]

And I hope we're not intending to end the night here. [ she grin slyly, providing a little resistance to his swaying, for slightly more friction ] If we were at the castle, I'd insist you sweep me away now.
