Talk about a soiree.  The team has walked into what is clearly legitimately a Gatsby party, but with an Indian flair.  Even upon approach, it's easy to see that this place is without parallel:  people are driving cars right up on the lawn of the fabulous mansion, which looks half-modern and half like a palace out of a Bollywood film.  Men and women in bright colors, fabrics, beads and silks move inside en masse, and as the doors are opened before them, they can see the grandness of the interior, with its diamond garland, draped fabrics, giant jeweled elephant statues, indoor trees that arch to the ceilings, twirling dancers, and a tall dramatic staircase leading up to a balcony above where the host himself reclines surrounded by admirers and friends, smoking a cigar.  

Liquor flows freely, and food is carried around on golden trays through the crowds.  It's an overwhelming buffet for the senses, a dizzying spectacle of color, laughter, dancing, and entertainment.

Once it's on he looks slightly more comfortable but only slightly. That thing is like his safety blanket, but he's still going to be traveling through the internet.

There are so many doubts about this plan but Wynn said it would be safe.]

Okay, he said we had to boot up the instant messaging program, and link hands in a circle around the computer once the spell is sent.

[ Ooh a computer. This he can do. He takes it and steps over to a table, setting it down and sitting himself on a stool next to it. He's quick with it, and types away doing something or other. A pause only for a quick sonic, boosting the wifi. ]

[Alex is just watching how all this plays out but apparently she isn't all that surprised by the idea of magical internet travel (TY Nat 20 on that Knowledge check) even if she hasn't seen it before.]

thor looks at the computer with a little bit of skepticism like IS THAT PIECE OF TECHNOLOGICALLY OUTDATED IN ASGARD CRAP REALLY GONNA DELIVER US IN ONE PIECE but ok sure fine, he'll trust in your magic. who wants to hold hands with thor? :3 ] If there a song that must be sung, I regret to say I am not familiar with it.

[ He steps up from the computer and takes hold of girl Alex' hand ]

[ thor nods, looking between alex and andie for a moment, and then a string of strange character flashes across the im client, and the next thing they know, a blue light flashes out from the computer, and a strange pattern that looks a lot like a motherboard layout mixed with glowing runes spreads rapidly across the floor, and up the bodies of all those standing around in a circle, connected. there's a tingling sensation like an electric shock that runs through them all, and then abruptly white light bursts behind their eyes and suddenly they get the sensation of being pulled physically and mentally taut, every nerve ending in their body on end as data streams around them, glowing numbers and sparks of brightly moving light.

it's over in seconds, and then they find themselves in a small, crowded russian apartment, standing around an overflowing desk, where a young woman with blue hair and a nose ring sits at a laptop. she looks up as they all appear, and then gives them a casual salute with two fingers, eyes riveting back to her laptop screen. "Welcome to Russia, comrades," she says jokingly, accented voice twinged with wry humor at the address. ]

[Honestly, must you trigger all of David's PTSD with this stupid mission? Getting sucked into a blinding white light is kind of how this whole mess got started for him in the first place, but whatever. He waits for a moment to make sure he's got all of his parts intact, before releasing his hands and looking around to get lay of the land, searching for a window of some kind (spot 12).]
