In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[ yeah lydia has been on the road ok. she's been walking them along the terminal. with the traffic control tower in the middle of the property, they can either go through the terminal, or find a way over the fences surrounding the rest of the property. they're passing the terminal entrance right now, so it's time to decide which one. ]

Okay, we're wasting time. Adam, take Stiles, Lydia and Jaime to the tower. You don't need to go through security to get the shuttle. Once you've gotten them inside and secured a mind-link, you can come find us. Stiles, you still have them map, right? [ congrats, you've been promoted to navigator. ] Once you're in there make sure you ground all flights -- bomb threats keep everyone on the planes, but tornados will get them off. Do not try to land a plane on your own, leave someone cognizant enough to actually do some good work. Jaime, don't let anyone touch them. We'll comb departures. Text me if you find anything. Okay? Great. Go.

[ she's already half not paying attention to their answers because they all better be "yes, okay, solid plan, bye". she and sylar can just print out his boarding pass early and buy a cheap one to get into the departures proper like people do when saying their goodbyes. ]

[Jaime is mostly ok with this plan, but he's less ok with Lila and Sylar wandering off on their own. Sylar's not a knight, Lila seems focused on her Starbucks, texting has always seemed suspect to him as it is, and really, who brings a date on a mission?

He turns to Adam.]

You go with them. There's no point to this mind nonsense unless it's connecting up both teams. [Also hopefully they won't put the mission on pause to go make some bastards, but he's sure Adam can figure that out himself.]

We need you to get into the tower. If she wants to bail and get lost so she can skip off with her boyfriend, that's her problem. Not ours. We don't have time to waste splitting up and bickering.

[ lila texts stiles got it as they go to indicate she sure does get it. she's annoyed that everyone seemed to miss how it was the original plan, she just split them up early because they were wasting time and didn't need six people in the tower. but whatever, she can't read minds, she just figures they're all incompetent. she knows this airport in and out considering she's been visiting it once a month for over a year, sometimes more if she decided to be a good girlfriend and pick sylar up when he flew in, so she just walks off in the right direction. (nav 16) ] Come on, we need boarding passes.

[ she doesn't care if jaime comes with them or not, she'll just buy another pass, but the whole point of not wasting time getting out of his armor was so he could, you know, better protect stiles and lydia if someone tried to interrupt their cctv-fu. but whatever. and using this tag to break up the groups, xoxo kisses. ]

The truly hilarious part of this search and rescue is that they're probably not even leaving. They're probably at Nando's, eating peri peri chicken while we're running around assuming they're fleeing the country. [ she checks her watch briefly. ] Well, maybe not Nando's, they're closed. [ IS THAT THE POINT, LILLIAN? ]

So we're looking for a couple and by couple I don't mean like us, I just mean two people. Who could look like anyone. [ needle in the haystack and she can't just set the hay on fire. ] Doppelgängers aren't like dogs, right? We can't just blow a whistle really loud and see who gets incapacitated? [Meanwhile, on the shuttle to terminal three with Stiles, Lydia, and Jaime, Adam decides to shoot off a text message to Attica--something he should have done before ever climbing into the car with these people. The lack of window seat should have been reason enough to take a pass but you live and you learn.]

Are you on top of this doppleganger bullshit yet? We could really use some competence at the airport to compensate for the severe lack thereof.

[He figured that catering to her ego would go over a little better than, "Come pick me up, I'm in hell." The sentiment was pretty much the same either way. Once he sends that, he takes a few seconds to re-send the last texts to both Astrid and Mars, and I can't remember if he got Faye's number yet or if he will in backtag city, but if he does he will copy the same shit to her because apparently Lila hasn't heard from anyone in their group either.]

[That done, he pockets the phone and waits for their shuttle to get to its destination. Feel free to be talking amongst yourselves or ask him who the fuck he's texting right now because #priorities.]
