[astrid looks up from her texting to look at gold like UHHHHHHH.... YOU EXPLAIN. BE A LEADER. NOSE GOES. I'M KEEPING THIS TAG GOD DAMN IT]

[ solace approaches the statue of emma, walking around it slowly, and then looks back at the head ] Reattachment will be... not without its risks. We'll do best to attempt to mend the statue together before doing so.

I read a study that said if someone in a petrified state was broken, as long as you join the pieces together before un-petrifying them, they should come back as a whole person. That's right, right? [she looks between hasmed and solace like PLEASE FEED MY BURNING DESIRE TO ALWAYS BE RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING. she's more concerned about that .... than emma. bcuz she's a lil sociopath.]

It is, but the definition of 'joined' can be a bit shaky. If enough pieces broke off the bottom of the head or the top of the statue, then there's a potential disjuncture that could... cause a disturbance to that. It's best to mend the statue first, just in case. It will only take a moment. [ in fact, he has that shit prepped right now, so he's gonna pick up the head and place it atop the statue, before pulling out the symbol of ilmater around his neck and muttering a few words. a light glows beneath his hand and the statue is whole again... if not for a prominent crack visible around the throat. ]

[Well, that's gonna leave a mark, probably. Gold just stands there and sighs wearily.]

I've a scroll for the spell in my archives, so I'll have to go fetch it. But before I do, perhaps you'd care to explain what you mean about locating Sir Chamberlain.

One of her spells backfired and sent her outside of the facility. We've had no way of locating her.

[He sighs. Perhaps he should... backtrack.] The incidents in Germany were being caused by a machine created by Luckman industries- spells used in the vicinity of the field created by that machine caused unpredictable effects. Fortunately, the machine is now destroyed, but we've been left with a bit of a mess on our hands.

[sirsolace]

[ solace exchanges a look with hasmed that says gurrrrrl. ] It seems we've much to catch up on. [ he shoots glados a look, but figures that shit is gonna have to wait. what even. ] I can attempt to discern Faye's location, while Hasmed fixes Sir Swan here.

And I can't smell or taste anything, which ... I know, isn't really number one priority, I get it, but I want to put fixing that on the to-do list.

[ solace glances at her, but hasmed just ignores that entirely. sigh. off he goes... ] We'll see to it in time. For now, I need something that's belonged to Faye.

Oh! Oh! I have her gun! [SO PLEASED. she pulls it out and slams it on the desk like she did emma's head pretty much.]

That should do. [ he'll scoop it up and gesture for henry to move so he can sit. ] If you'll excuse me... this should take about ten minutes.

[ He's...hopeful about everything, and maybe that's blind and naive on his part, but it's better than thinking the absolute worst. He's quiet, though, and moves out of his seat. Then he looks at Astrid, softly asking: ]

Could I...use my phone again just for a minute? I wanna let Hook know what happened.

[boooooo. how else is she supposed to pass the time while waiting for solace to find faye and hasmed to unstatue emma??? but she's capable of being nice, okay, so she just hands him his phone back.] Yeah, sure. Danke.

You're welcome. And...thanks. [ Don't worry, he'll give it back soon. As in, as soon as Hook gets there.

And he sends off a few quick texts to Hook to say Emma's back and he needs to get to the front desk ASAP. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing you tell someone through a phone call or text when they can actually be here in person probably pretty quickly. And he doesn't have the emotional strength to deal with texting back and forth right now anyway, so...he just hopes Hook gets here soon. He actually...really needs him. ]

[And run he does! All full of excitement and hope because Emma is back! After all this time! He's missed her.

Except when he gets to the lobby, she's not there. Well, a statue of her is there, and Hook is smart enough that he can figure out what that means (wis 19) but he very desperately wants to be wrong.]

Why is there a statue of Emma? [His voice is too loud, an edge of panic to it. That crack in her neck doesn't look good either.] And where's Faye?

We're working on both of those right now. Pipe the fuck down.

Her friends allowed her to get turned into a statue. Which they subsequently allowed to snap in two. [ #helpful ]

Who are you again? [He looks over at GLaDOS. He's pretty sure he doesn't remember her being in the group before.]

I merely controlled operations at the facility. It wasn't mine any more than this building belongs to you.

[That doesn't... answer his question at all. But he's over it. He's back to focusing on Emma. He steps towards her, looking stricken, and raises a hand to touch the side of her face.]

...I might be able to break the curse.

[There's one sure way he knows, and he's pretty sure he's got what it takes. The question is... does Emma feel the same way?]
