Good. [ he goes to grab a little tray of crackers and set it down on the desk between them ] So what would you like to discuss?

[ omigosh that's adorable. she feels like professor mcgonnagal is telling her to have a biscuit. plus, the way to lila's heart is through food. well played, sir. she shrugs as she plucks up a cracker and nibbles on the edge. s-so polite. ]

I am kind of interested in what the Dragon's Tongue does on the daily. [ once her topic is presented... she just shoves the rest of the cracker in her mouth. less... polite.

Well, as most Knights do, we spend a great deal of our days preparing for field work in some way or other, honing our skills as it were. For us, that involves not only learning what we can of languages and cultures, both from this world and any others, but also availing ourselves of what social opportunities present themselves right here in the castle.

[ so basically what lila does on the daily with her eight and counting languages and frequent party going. success. ]

Do a lot of knights focus mainly on that or is it more common to have... other skills? Because I can talk my way out of a lot. [ anything is what she usually says, she can talk her way out of anything, but since this is (hopefully) the future head of her sect she affects some modesty. ] But I'm also pretty good at the magic I can apparently do and I'm downright spectacular at my natural ability.

[ farewell modesty. it does not apply to curse work. ]

As in any sect, that varies greatly Knight to Knight. I myself have mastered some magical abilities of my own, and find them more than beneficial in the field. And of course, in any volatile diplomatic situation exists the potential for violence to erupt... so being able to defend oneself in such a case is very important.

So... and I'm paraphrasing... being well-rounded is good?

[ she nods. ] Cool. [ after a moment of hesitation, she stands up. ] Anyway, nice to meet you for real. Thanks for talking to me. I think I'm going to go steal the Crown Jewels, so I should probably head out.

Thanks. [ she will totally do so. this is how she gets in the position to be poisoned. physically incapable of saying no to food. put cyanide in her almond milk and she won't even notice. ] Later gator.

[ should she use her typical parting words on a half-dragon? maybe not. but she does with a bright smile and then she flounces out the door. ]
