Uh... [Spike sure hasn't... tasted that many people. Just enough that he knows there's some variety. Animal blood, different blood types, and Des'.] Well, yeah. Don't... breakfast cereals or whatever you eat taste different to you?

Um, yeah, obviously. Have you ever had a snakeblood before?

Maybe. In like, a controlled environment. We could go to the med center and I could draw a sample for you. I'm not doing shit Twilight style.

Are you really that curious? [He raises an eyebrow because most people just get grossed out when he talks about this kind of thing.]

I've tried putting sweets in blood before, lamb. I can tell you from experience, it's disgusting.

That's not the same as the blood itself having a distinct taste. It's like ... different coffee blends. Compared to putting in flavor shots. [is it really tho astrid???? that's not even science. she just made it up. she is walking towards the med center now, though.] You can follow me if you want a free snack. Or, you know, don't. Yeah. It's easiest to get. Sometimes I get cow or sheep to mix it up. [A beat.] Chicken's no good. Bird blood's too... I don't know. Sour.

Did you know vampire bats can only detect bitterness in blood? Like, they can't really distinguish any other taste. [/helpful. also her knowledge check for that was like a million i'm too lazy for math.]

I'm not a bloody bat. [She is very aggravating.]

I know! I just thought it was cool. [WHY DON'T YOU SHARE HER LOVE OF SCIENCE??? loser. w/e they make it to the med center, and she starts going over to draw her own blood and put it in a little test tube.]

He takes the tube and sniffs at it.]
