[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.
You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt.]

had to
[See how much she doesn't care that he's trying to field questions from some random on the phone?! Kenzi Malikov, ladies and gentlemen.
While Sam deals with the phone call, she moves behind the front desk and clears a work area, hoisting herself up, legs swinging back and forth while she waits for him to finish, pretty much so she can pepper the new dude with questions.
She's nosy like that.]

Uh, no, he's away on holiday. Can I take a message?
[A message that he...doesn't write down before he apologizes and hangs up the phone.]
I'm sorry. [He addresses the dark-haired girl directly, looking confused. WHY ARE YOU ON HIS DESK.] Did you need something?
no subject
Uhhh... an iPhone 6, a grilled cheese sandwich, Wynn to approve these boots I found as a legit expense. [Ticking those off on her fingers.] Don't suppose you know where a girl can get a Cherry Coke around here cause, that's ranking high on my neeeeds list.
[In other words? nope. She's just here to you know, harass. Lucky you Sam.]
no subject
[He could swing grilled cheese in the kitchen but...duty calls.]
no subject
So you got a name or should I just go with Captain Unhelpful? Don't worry - as far as nicknames go, it could be worse. [Just ask Bo.]
no subject
[He seems to be in good humor about it, though.]
Oh, yeah. It's Sam. Sam Winchester. And you are?
no subject
[There's a grin, like she knows how that sounds, because she was born in a gutter... or at least lived in one for a while.
You're welcome.]
Like the rifle huh. [Int. 17 cause idek what knowledge check to do for that.] Kenzi Kalashnikov. [A beat.] Or, Malikov actually but I wanted a cool gun name too.
no subject
Yeah, well, if you're really gonna die without that grilled cheese, maybe I can whip one up after my shift is over.
[He nods.]
Yeah, like the rife. And it's nice to meet you, Kenzi.
no subject
See! [Leaning over to poke him playfully in the shoulder.] Helpful. Now if you could just secure that cherry coke you'd win my vote for Knight of the Month.
[Not that. That exists. Semantics.]
Of course it is. [Shit eating grin.] I'm very meetable. And nice. [A beat.] And at least one of those things is definitely not a lie.
So. [Welcome to the question Kenzi asks almost every new Squire.] What's your thing? Superhero or sidekick. Me, personally, I'm sidekick with a side of unsuspecting hero in the making. Like, that Neville kid only, hotter, obviously but... yeah you strike me more as a Harry.

Maybe there's a soda vending machine somewhere in this Castle. Water is better for you, though.
[Health nut. Kind of.]
Both seem to fit so far, unless you're pulling a fast one on me.
[His eyebrows raise.]
Maybe. [His brother would call him a sidekick, he's pretty sure.] I'm more used to being half of a dynamic duo, I think.
