You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt.]

He's so cute. Wait- [She turns to focus on Aurelius instead of the adorable owl for a second.] Familiar? So you're a..?
[The last time she asked someone (Nathan) if they were a wizard, they made fun of her. So she will just let him fill in the blank.]

[...]
An actual lemur. That's not like... a euphemism or anything. Nevermind.
[She heads to the table she was camped out at and digs through her back for a granola bar. Owls like granola, right? Guess we'll find out. Does she need to roll anything for this? Handle animal 15?? Don't make her result to making hoo hoo sounds, because she will.]

Who's a good owl? [She grins and breaks the granola bar up into more manageable pieces for the familiar to snack on.] Guess I've got the magic touch. Might need to look into getting my own familiar. Do... witches get them too? Or is that just in stories?

I was just starting to... get into magic back home before I ended up here. Mostly just reading up on the history of it. But I'm sort of hoping I might be able to actually... y'know. Cast.

Have you given any spells a try yet?

Before the Veil, I did a couple things, but I think something short circuited on my way through. I can't even make a pencil float anymore. [She's determined to figure it out, though. Poor baby just needs another level to take the mage level. She'll get there.]
Have you ever heard of anything like that?
