Missions can sometimes require long periods time in close quarters with your teammates. Perhaps Wynn is hoping to allow you more time to get acclimated before sending you out in the field.

Maybe. [he shrugs] I've tried not to think too much about it. There are more than enough things to keep me busy around here. When he wants to put me out there, he will. [like a fine china set.]

Oh, yes. There's certainly enough to keep anyone busy. The library alone could keep someone occupied for years, if they were inclined to that sort of thing.

I'm more of an outdoors guy, actually, but I don't mind hitting the books every now and again.

Ah, much more rare these days. [She seems pleased by this, even if she is the bookwormy type.] Any particular hobbies you enjoy?

Fishing, mostly.

I can't say I've ever found myself particularly struck with the desire to take up the sport, but I do know that there are many who find that quite relaxing and enjoyable. Have you had the opportunity to do much fishing since you've been here?

Mhm. There's a pond near the castle grounds, I like to go fish there sometimes to clear my mind.

Something like a sanctuary for you, then. [lol inside joke for her teehee.] I'm glad you've found a place to calm your thoughts.

So am I. Sometimes it's just .... too much. Everything gets to be too much.

With as many people in the castle as there are? I'm not surprised. [She pauses and gives him a curious look.]

Have you ever thought about trying to learn to control the ability? To be able to quiet those thoughts without finding somewhere secluded?

Of course I've thought about it, but I wouldn't know where to start. I haven't had much success in my attempts to just repress it.

I have some experience in the area. Not your ability specifically, though I have met all sorts of empathy in my day. But before I came through the Veil, that was part of my life's work- helping people understand their unique gifts and give them their best chance at controlling them.

I can't promise anything, but if you'd like the help, I would be more than happy to work with you on this.
