WHO || Koraith, Tia Ellison, Stiles Stilinski, Lydia Martin, Jackson Whittemore, Gold, Belle, Grimrot, Dovan Ironsides, Miles Cuivre, Jaina Solo, Penelope Sariel, David Levin, Davin, Derek Hale, Richard Riddick
WHAT || A team of Knights is tasked to contact the residents of the Shadow Village on Andres Isle, recruit those who are willing to aid them, and protect the others from harm
WHERE || Andres Isle
WHEN || September 19th, 2014
HOW || Actionspam
[ The two groups tasked to deal with the denizens of the Shadow Village arrive on the bank of the river that bisects the capitol city of Andres in half. The river slopes down from the woods and city around it, meaning that they're afforded a bit of concealment here, unless anyone stood at the top and looked down. At this hour of the night, however, there's no one around. Dovan grumbles a bit about 'blasted magic' as they shake off the disorienting sense of vertigo, while Koraith waits for Belle to confirm they've arrived in the right place. She pats Gold on the arm as she pulls out her phone, and moments later, she nods to the others in confirmation.
The water laps gently nearby against the rocks, and in the distance, a bridge is visible that links the segregated Shadow village with its thatched roof houses, to the city proper, which seems lined with wealthy manor homes. ]

Thanks. We really appreciate it. [Ooh, look- pretty artwork.] How long have you lived here? [Awkward small talk/feeling her out???]

He glances to both Lydia and Stiles as well as, before turning to the elf lady with a nice smile. He likes elves. He had a lot of elf allies in Everworld (diplomacy 24).]
Sorry. I was just admiring the area. You have a lovely home.
[Sadly he does not speak Elvish, the elves he knew spoke Gaelic.]

Another... friend of yours, I take it?
no subject
He is! [Just going to play this up.] This is David and he is helping us gather forces to try to take a stand against Sarandis. So we've obviously got the muscle... But we're trying to see if we can find people on this side of town to help the cause. You wouldn't happen to know anyone that's tired of the way things are run around here, would you?
[And he gets a 27 to diplomacy to make that sound like a great plan, I guess.]

We want to try and gather as much help as we can, as well as protect those who can't fight.
[This seems ... slightly familiar though so he's just going to let Stiles keep talking.]

[ She turns away from the painting, stepping up alongside Stiles. ]
But it's not our island to take: it's yours. We can only help you win it.
[ diplomacy 31 ]
We can arm anyone who fights with us, and help evacuate anyone who can't or won't. Any chance you know who to call to rally the troops around here?

We're from the Knights of the Silver Dragon.
[HOPEFULLY THIS WON'T END BADLY.]

[ recognition and shock flood her features, as she looks between them, mouth dropping open. ] You're--
So they're real?
no subject
[ Painfully deadpan. Well, maybe now's not the time. Assuming elf-lady picks up on that, Lydia just barrels ahead. ]
Sir Stiles, David, and Lydia.
[ She points as she introduces each one. ]

Anira Dilant. I'm sorry, it's just-- [ a bright smile lifts her expression, and she shakes her head laughing ] We always figured you were more of a fairy tale. My sister's heard things. [ if you think this is going to help the starry eyed way she looks at david u r wrong ] She and I can go door to door, gather the elves together, at least. Not everyone particularly... gets along with our kind, even here. I've a feeling any of the more war-like races would laugh in our faces if we showed up on their door, saying we intended revolution of any sort.
You have somewhere for us to go, then? Those who-- those who shouldn't be in the middle of all this?

[He claps a hand to David's shoulder. He's like a walking Uncle Sam poster tbh.]
no subject
Well... a lot of the less savory types look up to Grulk. He was a bugbear chieftain back in Faerun. Beyond that, I'm-- not sure I could say. My sister might have a better idea. She knows more of the people here. She's a Knight-errant herself. Or... was, back in our homeworld. It's why she's long been fascinated with what rumors she heard of your existence.

It would be good to speak with her. Even if she doesn't want to be in the fight itself, we could use a few ideas as to where to start.

[ anira nods, and moves towards one of the bedroom doors ] She's in her room, just let me -- [ she pushes open the door, opens her mouth to speak and then balks at what is... apparently a surprising sight in there. ] Nyna?
no subject
Fuck don't you ever knock?
[ Apparently something important is going on? He looks back to Nyna, and moves off her, rolling away to the side.
Hi. ]
no subject
Not a bad start, right?
no subject
I'll, uh. I'll wait in the other room.
no subject
This really isn't the kind of thing that waits for a knock.

[ w h o o p s. nyna looks a little irritated at the interruption, because wow they were good and going there, thanks people. but as she yanks a blanket up, she shouts out the door: ]
By the way, gwethil! I've a man over.
