The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Yep. Even Rose put in some serious effort for this After Party it seems, turning a few heads with her 26 Disguise Check.

Unsurprisingly though, she'll mostly be found hovering around the food or the bar but she's not exactly what you'd call at ease tonight. Maybe cause formal events like this aren't really her thing or maybe cause she's keeping an eye on one or two people oooor. Ya know, maybe cause she hasn't spent a whole lot of time in the walls of the Castle over the last four months.

Either way she's not scowling so that's generally a green light for approaching her.]

[Oh it's you.

Felicity isn't particularly fond of Rose, but granted their one interaction involved her dubbing her and Dean the "Psychopath Squad." She and Dean seem ... okayish at this point, maybe her and Rose could do the same.

Or something. She's come back from worse rocky starts.

Regardless, she's at the bar, having drinks, and debating whether or not she should acknowledge Rose's existence or let it go. Right now she's on the fence. This decision clearly requires more alcohol.]

[While she'd been pissed off about it at the time, if Rose holds a grudge over the remark, she at least doesn't seem to show it when she notices Felicity, probably because she stands by everything she'd said.

As far as greetings go however, Rose offers a nod by way of recognition before ordering herself a scotch and coke, quietly scanning the faces in the room as she waits, some intent behind that look, like it's something more than an idle distraction as her fingers drum along the bar.]

[She catches that easily (spot 22), glancing back to the bottles behind the bar for a moment, before her curiosity gets the better of her.]

[That drags her gaze back, Rose lifting her shoulder in a shrug.]

Just, keeping an eye on things. [Mostly true, even if not all of it though the lie comes easily. (Bluff Nat 20).] Last time I came to one of these things here it didn't exactly go well.

[Yeah, Felicity doesn't care enough to try and figure out if she's lying so she doesn't bother. She pauses as she takes a sip of her drink, before she blinks and glances back to her.]

The harpies?

[She doesn't associate Elena with Rose beyond the fact that Rose was sent to find her, so she's going with the last bit of craziness that happened at a squiring party (wisdom 16).]

[She heard about it. She wasn't there but she heard about it from Vi. It was right after the wedding but before Luthir ... right.]

The answer to that question is about as long as it is something Rose doesn't want to talk about, the brunette accepting her drink and taking a large mouthful before she even tries.]

Formality is just the clothes. I'm sure you could find something that's both fancy and comfortable if that's what you're worried about.

[They're at that blessed stage where they're dating but hadn't really thrown the words around a lot so Rose trips up on the word before saying;]... boyfriend.

[ Something that's not different from wherever he's from, everyone keeping eyes on elena. that's a freaking familiar feeling. ] Long time no see. [ Yeah, he's not expecting a hearty welcome. But, he wouldn't be Damon Salvatore if he didn't at least poke one of the bears. ]

[Oh, Damon. You don't even know. While she is keeping an eye on a certain brunette, it's not the brunette he's probably expecting. This ones taller. Male. Moose-like.

With actual fighting and everything. [She, so doesn't know he's been gone so her tone may be a tad... duh.] Not your scene I take it?

[ With a wisdom check of 10, this sounds... right. ] Evil dictators are slippery. [ He assumes. ] How long has everybody been stateside?

Seeing as I've spent the last three months tracking Elena and Kyp with Dean... [She lets out a sigh as she launches into an explanation.] We tracked them as far as Andres and got back here just in time to ship out. Kinda been out of the loop on all the Castle comings and goings.

[She considers him for a long moment before speaking again.]

What happened to you then?
