[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies. This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding.

[Clark finds her in the training room, all super focused and determined. His eyebrows lift, and he's not sure if he should interrupt. He'll take care of putting on his new enchanted handwraps. Oooh so shiny.]

You, uh- picturing anyone in particular?

[He says eventually, giving her a sheepish sort of smile.]

[ Skye laughs the laugh of you have no idea. ] You ever meet someone who just ... really rubs you the wrong way, get off on the wrong foot but in a major way?

How major are we talking?

You remember how I said I'm a good judge of character? The kind of major where I don't believe they belong here.

[His eyebrows inch up.]

What makes you say that?

Well, he said he was here for me.

[Cue protective mode.]

Here for you? What does that even mean?

I don't know. I guess I made a name for myself with the Rising Tide. Which kind of defeats the point of anonymous hacking, really.

So he's come after you? For something to do with your work before? How did he get in, though. I mean- after everything with the attacks, you would think Wynn would be twice as careful.

Not in the way you're thinking. It sounded more like he's some kind of weirdly invested fan. I mean, I didn't think hackers wound up with stalker groupies, but here we are.

...Do you think he's going to try anything? [You can't just throw around the word stalker and not expect him to be alarmed.]

I don't know. Part of me thinks maybe he'll be content to just orbit, but part of me thinks ... I don't know, Clark.

[He's quiet, jaw tight as he takes in the uncertainty in her answer.]

What's he look like? [No reason. Just asking.]

Clark, you really don't have to ...

[ She shakes her head, sighing. ]

I know. I don't have to do anything. And I'm not saying I will. But what does he look like, Skye?

[ She waffles for a moment, but ultimately finds herself listing traits, ] White. Dark hair. 6'2". Human.

[He nods, trying not to think about how that description could probably fit a handful of people in the castle at any given time. It will at least help him narrow down any potential threats, if he spots any.]

Do me a favor, alright? Promise me that if you're in trouble, you'll call for me. Just shout and I should be able to hear it. [Maybe. You don't actually have super hearing on your sheet yet Clark, but whatever.]

[ Skye hesitates, considers it a moment, but then nods. Better than getting in over her head ever again. ]

If I can't handle it, I'll call you.

Good. [He lets out a heavy exhale, nodding to indicate that her word is good enough for him.]

So- you in the market for a sparring partner?

Sparring partner with super strength? That seems a little unfair.

I've actually been focusing on trying not to hurt people. Learning how to pull back. Subdue but not- yknow...kill anyone. I had these made- [He gestures to his hand wraps] They help with that.

[ Well, she's visibly surprised by that news, and still slightly wary, but she'd be a really shitty support system if she went around saying that she knew he'd never hurt anyone but still didn't want to chance it herself.

She has to have faith in Clark. He won't hurt her. Skye draws a breath and nods. ]

All right. Let's test 'em out.

[Wow, he rolled so low... It's like he doesn't want to hit her at all. (attack 19, nonlethal damage 21 /unsure)

He has a second attack, but he's just throwing the one punch and then taking a step back to see if she's okay.]

[ THAT STILL HITS HER. AND DOES HALF HER HP. Skye is actually bodily thrown by the strength of his punch, lethal or not. She comes back at him with a relatively decent atk 23/nonlethal 3, and then another swing that definitely misses. ] No offense, Clark, but I don't think those are pulling your punches much. ]

[HE INSTANTLY REGRETS THIS CHOICE. Her hit is mostly absorbed by his damage reduction. Nothing about this is fair. Why did he ever think this would work out.]

Sorry, I-- maybe this isn't a good idea. [He doesn't want to knock her out and he's pretty sure he will if he throws another punch...]
