[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies. This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding.

[Felicity ... is following a baby. Lucia is the quickest on her knees and Felicity is always ready to let her scoot on her own whenever possible. But when she hears Alec coming (listen 16), she's quick to scoop the baby up (reflex save 17) and rest her on her hip.]

Sorry about that.

[Then she does a bit of a double take.]

[ This is the first time Alec has looked visibly uncomfortable since the incident with Hawke's dog. Babies. He cringes and just sort of stares at the thing on Felicity's hip. Like it's going to lash out and touch him with it's dirty hands or something. What the fuck? ]

What the hell is with you guys and him? You all just got some hard-on for him?

[There's a bark of a laugh at that, before shaking her head.]

God, no. I just met him first.

[And why are you eyeing her favorite creamsicle like she's diseased.]

I swear. More people compare me to that guy. Like maybe it's my face and not his. Maybe he's Not-Alec.

[ So fucking offended. He wants someone to go find Dean right now and proceed to call him No-Alec. That would make his day.

Sorry, Felicity, babies are super weird and kind of gross. ]

Kids freak me out.

[She shrugs. Should have met her first, Alec. That being said, however, she glances over to Lucia with a frown.]

They're just like adults, only ... travel sized.

No they're not. They're--kids. They're sticky sometimes and I'm pretty sure they smell a lot. Plus they squirm.

[ Like Alec has had even the smallest moment with a child. ]

[Felicity's eyebrows go up a bit as Lucia plays with her hair.]

I've met at least five full grown adults that fit that description.

And I definitely don't want to hang out with them either.

[ Alec's nose scrunches up when she plays with Felicity's hair. ]

She's gonna get something in your hair now. See. That just--no. Also what's with her color? Did you have sex with a pumpkin? [ Because now he assumes she's hers. ]

[Her eyebrows go up a bit at that, because there are so many assumptions wrong in that sentence. She doesn't even know where to start.]

First of all, her hands are clean. I went crawling through a ghoul's nest on one of my missions so I'm pretty sure worse things have been in my hair. Second of all, she's not mine. She's my niece. Third of all, who cares what color she is? There's a knight that's green with horns. Are you going to go throw shade at him for something he can't control?

[So basically ... fuck you.]

Whoa. How about you chill out? One of my best friends looks like a human dog boy. I don't care that she's orange. I was asking why she's orange.

[ Like the experiments Manticore did was all about genetics. Is she some sort of genetic cocktail baby or something? ]

Is she a Transgenic? Does she have animal DNA in her?

[Yeah, Felicity's still not convinced and it shows on her face.]

No. She's half-aasimar, half-elf.

What the hell is aasimar?

[ So much confusion on his face. ]

And an elf.

An aasimar is someone with divine heritage.

[And she's just going to squint at him with the fact that he doesn't know what an elf is. She honestly can't tell if he's serious (sense motive 8).]

As for elves - graceful and lithe? Pointy ears?

Never heard or seen either.

[ Though the eye squinting is kind of telling. Apparently Alec is supposed to know this. ]

Manticore didn't exactly teach us that crap.

[Because that might explain some stuff too.]

Well, if they don't have elves and aaismar in your world, that's probably why you haven't heard of them.

[She winces a bit.]

I had it easy. I was born, raised and brainwashed in a government facility. Three hots and a cot. [ So much sarcasm. ] I didn't have to deal with the outside for a while.

[She cringes a bit.]

And then you landed here, which for Shadowkind, probably isn't much better.

Hey. Lucky for me I was used to people hating my kind and calling me an abomination. It's like riding a bike running from lynch mobs.

[She smirks a bit at that, before shaking her head.]

People suck. But hopefully no one is looking to lynch you here.

I don't know. There might be a few people, but it's their loss because I'm awesome.

[She laughs.]

I'm sure you are. But she? Isn't going to hurt you.
