The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.
Hope none of you are shy. They're all here to meet you.
Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

But that only lasts for a second before his cocky, self-assured attitude kicks back in.]
I know that I do, actually.

If you ask me, Wynn should be more discerning about who he takes in.

I'm not desperate. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. [He needs to be here to protect kawaii amnesiac Katniss ... if it even is her. And Haymitch. He guesses.]
It's a good thing that no one's asking you, then. I have a feeling this room would be empty otherwise.

[She gives him a winning smile.] Perhaps you possess other equally useful skills to offer for our exploitation.
After all, there are other basis of worth, besides how well someone can swing a sword. Right, Sir Wellington? [She inquisitively raises an eyebrow in his direction.]

I'd love to hear more about how I may prove myself worthy in Sir Wellington's eyes.

with a 33 sense motive, despite hishorrible crit failattempts to mask it. She, obviously, never meant to offend him by her remark, but she does feel his reaction is quite telling. And it gives her a direction for this conversation. That is, after Lan ragequits, as he's destined to do.She doesn't say anything yet though
(because it's not her turn).]no subject
Come and see me when you've been in the field and done something worth remembering.

I've done many things worth remembering, just not here. But, I'm sure I'll surprise you in no time. [Yes, he is being petulant now. This is what Lan has driven him to.]
