Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

[There's not much time between Spike's meeting with the rest of failboat and when he leaves. But anyone looking for him won't find him difficult to find. Just check the bar. He'll be brooding and drinking and biding his time until sundown. He won't actually be drunk. Vampire constitution makes sure of that. But he'll certainly put away that anyone who does see him leave can draw their own conclusions.]

[It takes some time as Cora makes the rounds to Malia. Processing Abigail and Lydia deaths had been a lot and then getting over her initial burst of rage at Hellsing being here. The weres need to know what they're getting into, though, Malia in particular.

She's already talked this through with Derek, and Malia is family. Family that's caught her by surprise, but family all the same. She tracks her down and knocks lightly on the door frame when she finds her.]

[Malia hasn't really felt like family here. It's weird, because the only real connection she has is to Peter and that was a thin, thin strand to start. Then add in close relatives that don't know they're related. One of them doesn't even know most of himself. It's not even the craziest thing about her being here. It's the thought that the one person who knew just as much as her is stuck as a wolf and is more of her pet than anything.

She's mostly figured it's easier to just do her own thing.

Liam's ears perk up way before Malia even catches the sound of Cora approaching. She sits up, waiting for her to knock. She keeps her door open, mostly because otherwise she looks like a shut-in. Which sometimes she is.]

Sure. I'm just reading. [She's not reading. There's no book anywhere around. She was just sitting there. Like a creep.]

[ for the second time in as many days someone wants to get out of the castle, but this time since koraith is her section head, thea comes to him directly, knocking on his door and trying to stem the crying that had cropped up as she walked down the hall. like gd queen, get your shit together.

[Dinah Laurel Lance has been standing outside Queen Industries for a good twenty minutes, trying to decide what to do.

The clerics that had rescued her had been pretty insistent that she had come through the Veil, that it was the only way to explain the loss of her memory being so complete yet also selective. She's not of this world. The things and people in this world shouldn't trigger something in her that she needs to explore, but for some reason, the name "Oliver Queen" does.

There's no face to go with it, no context, just the name: "Oliver Queen."

It came with a story that a tabloid was trying to run: Was Oliver Queen trying to fake his death in LA plane accident? Laurel had been aware of the situation in LA but she hadn't heard anything specific about the casualties until now. But there's something about that headline that she knows is important to her, the name triggers something in the memories she lost, but it's just that. A name. And while the clerics are still ninety percent sure she came through the Veil, she also wants to investigate to be sure.

If she is legitimate person here, then Oliver may have some answers. It couldn't hurt just to talk to the guy. She turns to the doors, takes a deep breath, and starts to make her way inside to the front desk of Queen Industries. She offers the receptionist a small smile as she tries to start with the easy way first.]

Hi. I was wondering if I could make an appointment to see Oliver Queen?

[She's fully prepared for them to give her the runaround, but she's sure going to try to get where she needs to go.]

[The receptionist glances up to her and makes a small sound before she starts typing on her keyboard again. It's a moment before she looks at her again and asks, "What is this meeting in regards to?" Then there's a beat, "You're not with the press are you?" She seems very skeptical of this woman who seems to not really have any business requesting time with Mr. Queen.

"He's not giving any statements regarding the ongoing investigation to his identity theft."]

[ returning to the castle after so long away is a difficult transition for zara, made worse by the appearance of hellsing. this is not the home she'd found when she arrived. if anything, it makes her miss her real home, in brazil.

at least it felt like thalor.

she takes an active effort in making herself known around the dragon's fire wing, getting to know especially those knights who hadn't been here when she first arrived. and when she reaches beyond it, it's often to find those who were involved in the mission with mystra, poseidon, and constantine. she's heard something about a kelpie and a summoning circle and not much else, but enough to recognize that people have been dealing with gods' magic while she's been away (knowledge local 14). anyone in that group can expect her to approach them.

she's always out and about, though, walking the halls, watching hellsing move in, keeping herself wrapped up in a cardigan with a cup of hot cocoa with chili because she's sorry to return to the bone-deep chill of the north. ]

[David is hard to find at first, given that he was coming in from being off on a mission and went directly to find Stiles once he arrived, and then picking a fight with Solace that's partially frustration and grief and partially actual concern for how they plan to handle this moving forward. But eventually he does emerge for things like food and training, and where Zara happens to find him is the kitchen, fixing a sandwich quietly.

He looks up when Zara addresses him and nods.]

Can I help you?

[He's definitely never seen her before so ... ]

[ she is not the desert flower her two friends are and while she'd prefer to be closer to the water, england isn't as offensive to her system. she has her own mug, sipping a flowery tea as she reaches up to coax her hair back over her ears, keeping the slight points covered. ]

[October isn't exactly Dragon's Fire, but she's a magic user, and she likes knowing what's going on with the other magic users here. She misses San Francisco and the Fae community she was a part of. It's not the same here, but at least with other magic users she can feel the familiar threads of power tangling around each other and catch the smells and sounds of different magics.

She eyes Zara as she comes in, taking note of the mug and the cardigan.]

[Not that she's one to talk. Toby's kept her leather jacket on more than she necessarily needs to while inside. But that's more about feeling safe than feeling cold. It's the best armor she's got.]

[ weirdly enough, the woman made in the lab of a shadowy pseudo-governmental paramilitary facility finds the arrival of hellsing to be, um. concerning. it's probably tied up in skye being shadowy and secretive herself, but she's ignoring all of that because that is a surprisingly good coping mechanism.

she'd gone to the dragon's fire wing to find malina, who is out somewhere else, so now she's just loitering around and peering at things without touching them because curiosity killed the cat is an idea kali genuinely believes in. also: ] Those are eyeballs. Gross. Awesome.

Sark & Sydney | SUPREMELY BACKDATED... except not really because it's been like a day in game time.

[With news of the lockdown, there's still a particular elephant in the room. A blonde, spy-shaped elephant, who, even after fulfilling his end of his deal with one Audrey Peterson behind bars, has actually remained in the castle. For the most part, he's been closing out loose ends, giving information for the knights to investigate leads on things they might have missed and earning his keep through intelligence versus any kind of hard work. His well is running dry, so it's become sort of a will-he-or-won't-he game as to whether he'll stay on, become a squire, do the whole process, or simply vanish into the wind as an ally.

Sark doesn't exactly give anyone the impression of a good ally, given how easily he sold out every single one of his previous employers, but he also hasn't left himself much room to be anything else. With it now becoming evident that if he were to leave, he wouldn't be able to return until this mess is cleared up somehow, it seems his idly flirting with the idea has to go somewhere. It's not like he has anything keeping him here except a certain boredom with a world that isn't his own and enterprises that don't seem to bear much fruit. He likes to come out on the winning end- this world has a strange assortment of winners.

And he's not fucking around with the kinds of things Audrey Peterson was fucking around with.

So that leaves his other option- he certainly doesn't have much cause to stay, except for one, specific case. The case of one Sydney Bristow who has probably had more than her fair share of hair-pulling moments centered around him being... himself. All according to his design, really. Leaving her frustrated and unsatisfied would probably delight him, and yet...

Well, here he is, knocking on her door, not long after the announcement.] Agent Bristow, I do believe your organization is imploding, but may I come in, anyway?

[ sydney is crouched at the desk in her room over a laptop, where she's been researching as much as she can find about what's happening. when she hears sark's voice, she lifts her head, blinking rapidly as her lips purse in agitation ] Now is not a great time.

[Feste had enjoyed their time traveling to the different headquarters, getting to know different people and seeing different parts of the world, and they aren't all that happy to be back. Especially considering the changes to the Knights lately. They'll be at the early morning trainings, of course, working on their skills with mace and gun, but they sure do a lot of complaining while they're at it.

And make a whole lot of bad puns. Dear god are the puns bad. Even if they weirdly seem to make every hit a little more accurate.

When not training, they can be found curled up in a chair in the library reading. It varies what they're reading at any given time, but it's Shakespeare more often than not and Twelfth Night more than any other play.

They also can be found in empty rooms practicing poignant monologues riddled with puns and dry humor about the state of the world and how shitty Trump is (perform 27), or making aggressive chalk drawings on the pavement outside. They have a lot of feelings, and as an artist, they're going to try and get them out however they can.]

Han Solo | open

[Han is too damn old for this. He knows what going to war looks like. He's done it too many times in his day and he's too damn old. Which isn't to say he's backing down. He's got too many people here he has to look out for to back down.

But he is too old to really give a shit about Hellsing's attempts to whip them into shape. He only goes to maybe a quarter of the trainings. When he's there, though, his aim's as sharp as ever. He's most likely to be found at the bar, gambling if he can find people willing to play poker or try their luck at Sabacc, or in the garage, working on whatever beat up vehicle he can make work with duct tape and luck.

As always, he's accompanied by his big, shaggy dog, Chewie. He's a lot friendlier than his human.]

[Ahsoka makes her decision to leave, but even so, it takes her some time to actually get around to leaving. She doesn't want to, even while she can't in good conscience stay. She wishes she could find another option. She just has no idea what it would be.

She only sticks around for a few days before she heads out, saying her goodbyes to what friends she's made. She especially tries to seek out anyone from her world she can find. She needs to warn them where this could lead.

She doesn't want to go. But she can all too easily see where this can lead. Hellsing isn't asking much of them yet, but that could change. And Ahsoka isn't going to be there when it does.]

Deryn - OTA

[ Deryn didn't really understand what all the hustle and bustle was about. He didn't get politics and barely understood that a war was on break with a country to far away to be worried about in his mind. He was sitting on the steps outside bundled up in his winter jacket with the hood pulled up. The only thing that really bummed him about the whole ordeal was the dead knights, Wynn being missing, and the fact he had to cancel his trip home.

At least he wasn't to bored, living in the middle of no where for as far back as his short memories go, kind of gave him a means to keep himself busy. So, he was sitting poking at his phone playing tetris. ]

[Things have quieted down a bit in the late evening. It's only been a couple of days since the announcement, and Gold has decided to wait until some of the initial business has wound down before approaching Hasmed. He waits until he's certain the man has returned to his office, and then raps on the door with his knuckle.]

It's only me, not a self-righteous upstart begging for news of Wynn or whatever other annoyances you might be fielding. Might I have a word?

Come in. [ his tone is mild enough, probably due to the well-placed preface there. ]

[ this is not the love actually heathrow reunion she was hoping for, mostly because hasmed wouldn't be involved in her love actually heathrow reunion and also her brother wouldn't be dead but here they are. she fidgets nervously, anxiously looking around the new arrivals as they filter down the stairs, looking for her surrogate sister. ]

[If this were any other circumstance, she might have felt bad about taking advantage of Oliver's resources, but when you're in a new world and you don't really have any resources of your own, you take what you can get. Oliver had the means to get her to Thea, and he wanted to get to Thea too, so in a lot of ways, consolidating their travel makes sense.

Still, the whole private plane end of things was ... interesting.

That being said, she steps into the airport and scans the crowd for familiar faces. She is struggling though (spot 8) so for the moment, she's just going to take her time, and try not to stray too far from Oliver so he doesn't lose her in the crowd.]
