krozna ♔ our wrongs remain unrectified
WHO || Failboat, Mikhail Kalachnik, ?? ?? [closed]
WHAT || The Ex-Knights of Failboat arrive at Krozna
WHERE || Krozna, Russia
WHEN || 2 days after LA
HOW || Actionspam or prose
Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.
This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.
But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[ who knew all it would take was being polite.
it turns out vi isn't as out of practice as she thought because she still remembers what to do (wis 20 total) and her flexibility is still a thing in the bedroom (dex 22), both physically and in the easy way she seems to go with the flow. there's some neediness in the way she clutches at him (str 19), wanting to feel something, but she seems to enjoy herself (cha 18) and... probably doesn't immediately want to go again (fort save 15), but it's definitely there in the back of her mind. ]

either way, he sells it like a smoldering movie star the whole time (charm 27).
a few times it seems to get uh... a little too warm in the room but nothing actually lights on fire. ]

Saying that was hot would be too spot on, right?

I mean, yeah, same. [ she rolls over to her side, facing him, propping her chin in her hand. ] Tell me about yourself. Now that we've already gotten the sex out of the way.

[ what you are - audioslave
his eyes lift up to the ceiling in contemplation ] I joined the Knights because it was the only thing that made sense in my life. My powers had been dormant in my mother; her ancestors had met with... bad ends on account of them. My father wasn't very pleased when they showed up in me. They were an abomination, the way he saw it. He had plans for me, so he wanted me to suppress them.
They don't handle being suppressed well. But I couldn't figure out how to control them by myself, and I felt like there had to be a reason I was given them in the first place.
I found the Knights and I found that reason.

Understand to a point.
There weren't many psions then, not in the Knights. And no one who could do what I could. [ he tilts his head aside a bit, narrowing his eyes ] I suppose you could say I grew arrogant.
Arrogance tends to have a price. I learned that the hard way.
I was assigned on a mission with Jack Chessing, here in Russia. A diplomatic mission, meant to negotiate with some Shadowkind slavers. Despicable men, who flaunted their amorality, laughed at our position as naive and made a mockery of our attempts to appeal to them. Jack kept his cool - he always does.
I... couldn't. [ he flexes one hand in front of his chest, open and closed ]
The anger was like a flood. It boiled over until I didn't even know what I was doing. All I knew was that they needed to pay. To be stopped. All I could see was that white hot rage.
What I did was boil those men alive, from the inside out. With their own blood.

her mouth twists to the side, thoughtful, but she doesn't seem horrified by the story. sad, maybe, even if her stomach turns over trying to imagine it. part of her feels a vindictive pleasure that those slavers died a cruel death for inflicting such cruelty on others. they deserved it, but... murder only looks heroic from one side.
she sighs, bright eyes dimming with sadness. ]
And Wynn sent you here?
no subject
He sent me here to learn the control I needed. That was... six years ago. Or seven?
Plenty. That's all I know.

[ and maybe that is why wynn didn't kick him out like a bitey dog. she doesn't fully agree with all of his knightly appointments (deadpool, really?), but he thought long game by default, he had to know dom would be an asset eventually. ]
And, god, you've really ruined me for ever saying I'm so mad it made my blood boil.

The problem was that I didn't mean to do it, and it happened anyway. Who knew what else might stir that kind of anger in me, and whether they'd deserve the fate they got.
