The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many. Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility vaguely near Las Vegas: agreeing to work alongside the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization to find a way to take down Blade. It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return. Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

Most of the facility is underground, and the Knights are each granted badges that will act as keycards to get them into the barracks area that has been sequestered for them in its own building (called the Enclave), as well as to access the other rooms that are open to their use. It is more or less similar to this, but scaled up in size to account for the larger numbers of people housed on base. There are separate buildings on the base compound for the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (The Sanctuary) and for those members of Hellsing (The Bulwark) who have relocated as well. The entire compound itself is referred to collectively as "The Harbor". Peter Fargason will continue to run training drills daily, attempting to mold the Knights into a more efficient combat unit, and Hasmed, Solace, Koraith, Dovan, and Lis'sa will continue to assign missions to members of the Knighthood, ostensibly aimed towards slowing the tide of monsters and evil doers heading to Los Angeles and protecting Shadowkind in America from the "war on Shadowkind" being waged by the American government, as non-humans are being rounded up as potential threats to the country. Hasmed and Solace have assumed joint leadership of the Knighthood, and appointed no Dragon's Claw to replace either the deceased Sir Bancroft or the now gone rogue Sir Chessing.

Gone is the eclectic decor of the castle rooms, replaced by a much more uniform look to each assigned barracks, which, unfortunately, sleep two to a room because of restraints on space. Feel free to sign up for a roommate on the thread on this post. In fact, everything here is much more polished, state of the art, and modern, which is a jarring change from the castle. How well people adjust may depend on quite a few factors... but for now, they are free to attempt settling in.

[ some people are clearly not built for this sleek modern architectural style, and edain is one of them. he wanders the halls looking generally disgruntled, and wearing his full armor, decked out with a sword, and casting disdainful looks at shit like the water cooler. he can often be found going hard in the training room, often too hard, as if he's trying to show off in front of the other organizations. he can often be heard giving them all shit too, in a 'friendly ribbing' sense. ]

For Ella

[ while people are pairing up for rooms, some people are getting left in the dust, and while ella is looking around for someone who's still in need, she passes by edain in the hallway, who's toting a duffel over his shoulder ]

No one quick to claim ye, Lady Firetongue?

[ andrew had probably offered but a. ella would not interrupt a married couple who misses their baby and b. she is a big girl, she would be fine rooming alone. she has to admit she hasn't been as social since egypt so she doesn't have a lot of options.

and then there is edain. she visibly bristles. how he manages to get her hackles up every single time is beyond her. ]

[ are they???????? ella glances around quickly, hair flying this way and that before she breathes out something of a defeated: ] Oh fuck.

[ her arms cross. ]

Alright, I'll room with ya. If y'can tell me the last time you bathed. [ look he never takes that armor off. ]

Why, did ye want a front row seat?

There's no windows, I want to know if I'll die from the stench.

Looks like there's a shower down the hall.

[ so many complaints like she didn't kiss him while he was in full armor. lady doth protest too much. ]

Got yer word now. Can't take it back.

[ naturally it is that that makes ella snap, striding up to him and grabbing his wrist to shock him, but she overreaches (atk 6) -- bringing her right up against him -- sparks spluttering ineffectually from her fingertips. ]

I always keep my word, y'arse.

[ he wraps one arm around her waist to steady her, eyes dropping to study those sparks before trailing back up to her face, a smirk resting there irritatingly on his lips ]

Now, now. No need for that.

[ DO YOU, ELLA? DO YOU HATE HIM???? IS THAT REALLY IT??? ]

[ he leans way in to say: ] S'pose we'll find out. [ before letting go of her so that she can inevitably smack him :) ]

[During one of these training sessions, somehow Rory manages to be convinced to go sword to sword with him. However it happened, doesn't matter, it's happening now. Should be fun.

Amy is probably watching somewhere and enjoying it a little too much.

Regardless, he's brandishing his sword and hoping that Edain doesn't hit too hard.]

[ edain has a smug smirk on his face as rory approaches, and he lazily spins his own sword in place in a much more relaxed counterpoint to rory's stance. ] Waiting on you, boy.

[Fine. Then let's do this. Since this is training, Rory can be fairly certain that he probably won't die, so he charges forward, swinging wide and ... subsequently tripping over his own feet (attack ... crit fail).

He lands hard, but bounces back up again almost immediately.]

[Hardee hard, laugh it up. If he laughs long enough enough Rory's just going to wait, hand on one hip, just sighing.]

[Rory huffs, before squaring up and this time managing to stay on his feet, moving a bit steadier than he had previously (attack 20 total). This probably won't hit, but at least he looks like he actually knows what he's doing.]

[it actually does connect, but it might have been does connect, but it might have been allowed on edain's end. he grins and triumphantly crows: ] That's it!

[ and he'll swing back with a series of three cuts, one signaled well in advance from above in a diagonal downward strike (atk 21) and then a sudden inward twist as he spins the blade back around (atk 29), which seems to impossibly shift angles and hands, coming in for a double bluff swing with a nat 20...) IDK IF YOU WANT DAMAGE ROLLS OR NOT ]

[Owww those are a lot of hits, but Rory stays on his feet and comes around again for another swing, this time even better now that they're in such close quarters (attack 24).]

[ it's a solid thwack, which makes edain grin, as he lets the momentum of it push him away, and comes back in swinging ... only to twist too fast, and somehow pull something, letting out an angry curse (crit fail...) ]

[He's a nurse, so he wants to check first to make sure he's not in actual pain or actually injured. But if Edain is good then he will swing again (attack 27).]

Ye don't stop the ask an opponent if he's good. [ must be a yes, because he comes up with his own sword in an attempt to block but... fails at it, scowling before delivering a strong blow of his own (atk 32), followed by an overhead swing (atk 27) and then losing steam for the last (atk 12) ]
